Sounds like you're not ready for civilized society, John. The men I've known and worked with managed to control their predatory, lusty, reckless impulses and behave themselves among women.

My one workplace harrassment incident happened when a former male friend spit on my shoe after losing an argument. My male boss went apeshit over that and we had a big harrassment incident kerfuffle. I declined to press any charges, so the company instituted a series of sexual harrassment seminars. The Anglo idiot who started it all was VERY popular among his Hispanic co-workers, mostly ex-convicts on work parole.

Women can compete equally with men in affairs of business when both genders act like professionals. It's a sad testimony to idiots on both sides that we have sexual harrassment law today.

Funny, the only guy who ever tried to give me the whole "men are the helpless victims of their sexual impulses and I should expect to have to push them off me every time they get near me" screed was also the only guy who ever jumped me the minute he got me alone, although I barely knew him.

Like I told him, most men are perectly capable of controlling their impulses. Your problem isn't your gender, it's just YOU.

Women are subject to sexual harassment laws, too; as are gays of either sex. Just because the vast majority of sexual harassment charges are against men doesn't mean the law itself is unfair. It just means there are a lot of stupid men who can't control their testosterone at work.

Women can't compete equally with men, as more men than women employ people, and people tend to choose people who are similar to themselves. It has been shown that if you remove the gender and skin-tone from job applications, more women and darker-skinned persons will receive job offers. It's not a concious choice, wich makes it harder to do something about it.

Most men are decent people, as long as they have received a decent upbringing.
