(On Bill Nye)
What a surprise. PBS hired and made famous a radical secularist. He also thinks that people who "deny" Global Warming are anti-science too. He'd make a great spokesman for Stalin's Ministry of Science, just like pretty much everyone else who works for PBS.

Actually, both Soviets and Republicans explicitly deny any scientific results that diverge from the conclusions they chose beforehand. Soviets had something called "Lysenkoism" that was a commie-friendly substitute for actual evolution; and Republicans have a few well paid shills who peddle pseudoscience in order to lobby against legislative environmental reforms. If you look at what the global scientific community is actually saying, unfettered by politics local to a particular nation or movement, there is a consensus that warming is very real and very dangerous. The consensus is so universal that denial of it does constitute an anti-science attitude.
The best way to understand what's going on is to look at the science first, and the politics second. People who do this are called "rationalists," or alternatively "lefties."
Let's see, he's intelligent, well spoken, engaging and literate. No wonder you feel so threatened by him.
"If you don't believe what we believe then you're an evil atheist commie nazi librul!"
I really do worry about people who totally deny science. It's not that they're just a bunch of backwards idiots, but that they vote their fellow idiots into office.
Last I checked Bill Nye didn't want all religious people put to death or denied their religious liberty, he just thinks people who take the word of a book written 2000 years ago by ancient shepherds over observable reality are stupid. How does that make him a radical secularist? You probably think we're all stupid, does that make you a radical religionist?
Next up on Mr. Aptly-Named Guy's agenda...
"Sesame Street is a Communist, Nazi, Muslim, Satanist, Jewish, Freemason, Atheist, Marxist, Harry Potter, Heavy Metal, Hippie, Reptilian-Alien-Weirdo Plot!"
"Mr. Rogers was a Nazi spy!"
"Mr. Wizard is Satan!"
Bill Nye was famous (at least in the Seattle area) long before PBS hired him. I used to watch him on the local comedy show Almost Live! way back before he had his own show.
If you want a laugh, look up some of the YouTube clips of him as Speed Walker. They're hysterical.

That and providing logical, understandable explanations of why all the faux-scientific bullshit the OP was raised with is wrong. There's nothing more evil than that.
Facts can't lie. Can the same be said about your flawless, perfect 'Word of God'...?
...let me know when the Bible can tell me what the next format will be that'll replace Blu-Ray, mm'kay?
It was Soviet Atheist science in 1957, which completely annihilated the Bible (the 'Firmament'). All you lot have been doing is moving the goalposts since then. And recently, the Higgs-Boson has been found. Not many gaps left eh?
...and please, let me know when your precious so-called 'Word of God' can do a better job than the satellites/weather stations/supercomputers etc of the meteorological organisations around the world.
Moral: The likes of Bill Nye live on Planet Reality , along with the rest of all we normal, sane people. 'Just the facts , ma'am'. [/"Dragnet"]
