Practically every fossil is transitional, there are literally millions of tons of evidence of evolution from the fossil record alone.
An ounce of evidence of there being a god, now that's just about imposssible to find to find.

Even if you were to show that Darwin was completely insane, the theory of evolution would stand on it's own merits. We have the evidence, we have the fossils, we have the DNA. We don't need Darwin anymore. He stopped being vital to the theory of evolution as soon as other people heard the idea and started verifying it.
And even if you did prove evolution was false, you still don't get to plug you god into the gap until you show some evidence.

We've found billions of transitional fossils. You see, if evolution works, and it does, every organism that lives, has ever lived, or ever will live, is a transitional form; transitional between what is was, and what it may become if the environment changes and evolutionary pressures go to work on it. So every fossil ever found is transitional.
