Maybe it is time to deport, not the illegals with faith in God, but every Illegal and American without faith in God. Without God there is no foundation for our liberties or freedoms. Buy them up and give them a ticket to anywhere, but here.

Land of the Free. (Terms and conditions apply, which are subject to change without notice.)
Why must you insist on undermining your own creditability in such brutal fashion? Weren't the pilgrims running away from exactly that attitude? Until the second batch decided to bring it with them at least. And then your deist founding fathers rebuked it again.
Without God there is no foundation for our liberties or freedoms.
Most "Godly" principles could just as easily come from people wanting to maximize the happiness and success of the population as a whole, with no divine presence needed. This really does suggest someone who clings to religion out of a pathological need for a source of authority, one who fears that without a monarch handing down precedents we'd all descend into anarchy. With enough people working for the betterment of society, we won't.
Liberties and freedoms? Oh, you mean like those granted by the FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION?
IT'S THE FIRST ONE. THE VERY FIRST ONE. IT'S NOT HARD TO FIND.
So, in short, you are saying that nonbelievers are not really Americans, our citizenship should be revoked and that we are of less than zero value? Thanks, I like you too.
Many of the founders of this country were deists, agnostics and atheists... you know, Ronny, NOT CHRISTIANS. Of those who were Christians, most if not all were not your deep-end of the pool Fundie types.
That you can't find any foundation for liberty and/or freedom without faith in your ancient fairy tales is your problem. Leave the mote in my eye alone and take care of the timber in yours.
Maybe it is time to deport fundies who think god should be in charge of the country. Here we have a constitution with article six and amendment one. Without the constitution there is no foundation for our liberties or freedoms. Buy the fundies a ticket to Saudi Arabia or Iran, where god is in charge.
I know you guys don't like atheists, but what about the opposite? What about polytheists?
If one god is good then several must be better, right?
Heathens, Pagans, and what not must be the cat's meow with you guys. Right?
Or is it more like the only people allowed to stay would be those who believe in your church's version of God? An awful lot of Christians would get the boot then, and you would end up with a very sparsely populated nation. And what about the Muslims and Jews? They don't exactly agree with you either.
What about Deists, would you kick them out too? Would you kick out the Founding Fathers if they were here today?
You should probably rethink this.
And finally, Treaty of Tripoli.
So, this country will not be free until everyone is forced to adhere to the same religious beliefs that you do.
The doublethink is strong with this one.
On Guadalcanal in 1942, the Japanese outside the U.S. perimeter chanted "American Marine be dead tomorrow." According to William Manchester, they got this reply: "Come on in, you fuckers, and we'll see who dies." Take a lesson, Ronnie-boy.
What does God have to do with the foundation of freedom? Do you have freedom of religion under God? Of course not, it's a sin to worship anything else but God, or to not worship at all. Do you have freedom of speech under God? Nope, criticizing God and the church is called blasphemy, and it's a sin. Do the convicted have any rights under God, such as haebeus corpus or trial by jury of peers? Nope.
Freedom of the press? Nope.
Freedom of art and expression? Nope.
Reproductive liberty? Nope.
You have no freedom under God. Under God, the word for freedom is sin.
I'd like a ticket to Germany, Denmark, or Sweden, please. Oh, and we'll be taking the small business and kids in STEM classes with us.
@nazani14: East Germany has a lot of empty homes, tech companies, growing major cities and a strong socialist party. I think I speak for the people there when I say all American liberals and progressives would be welcome (* except by around 5% of the youth population who have turned to Neonazism -- might wanna avoid an accent with those)!
Hey, you wanna give me a ticket to Japan, and the means to survive at least my first year, go right ahead. It'd get me away from you.
@Zagen: With enough people working for the betterment of society, we will acheive anarchy* soon enough. The state is costly, unproductive and oppressive. Like fundamentalism, and eventually religion, it will one day be cast aside and left to rot by the wayside of human progress.
It's only idiots with an authoritarianism fetish who stop anarchy being practical. If everyone was willing to take responsibility for their actions - as these authoritarian-right fundies always wail we should - the government would have no role to play in the social sphere and we could all get along without persecution of minorities being enshrined in law.
Without God there is no foundation for liberty? I guess liberal democrats, libertarians, left communists, anarchists and other libertarian socialists all come from deeply religious philosophical backgrounds then, as these are the political philosophies which hold liberty as the most important principle.
First amendment FAIL
History FAIL
Bible FAIL
First amendment says no endorsement of religion nor free exercise. I can worship the gods as I wish while my Muslim friends can do for Allah, atheist friends can live without any god, Jewish friends can worship G-d and my fellow Pagans can follow their own various paths. Christians can as well.
Historically theocracies were horrible to unbelievers. Spanish Inquisition, Witch hunts and trials, how they deal with unbelievers, etc.
The Bible says to kill unbelievers, homosexuals, etc. Not very free
You FAIL. You fail so hard that you won't be able to ever live down a failure of that magnitude. You fail at failing you failed so hard.
Or failing that, we could deport all the fundie nutjobs. Not people of faith mind you, but the fundamentalist religious totalitarians. That way we could actually have honest discussions over science, grant dignity to those of differing religions, live without threats of terror in this life or the afterlife, allow for free thinking without it being denounced as 'heresy', and save our country from the burden of tax exempt organizations influencing politics that affects actual tax payers.
But no, this old bigoted fart knows much better.
Let me make sure that I have this straight and understand it fully:
Those who are living in the US, but do not have legal citizenship, may stay in the US as long as they believe in God.
Those who are living in the US, but do not believe in God are illegal.
Liberties and freedoms only apply to those who believe in God.
Therefor, those who do not believe in God must be deported from the US, and this mass deportation should be funded by... believers? The government? That's not quite clear.
I do see some very basic problems with this plan, it just doesn't seem very plausible, practical, or sane.
Is Ronald Stotland 8 years old? If so, that would explain a few things.
@Meeeh
Scandalous! These women and their liberal, frivolous approach to sexuality is a clear sign of the moral decay of a society which has cast God out of the public square in favor of multiculturalism and moral relativism.
Now, on the other hand, if those women were wearing bikinis with the American flag on it, we Conservatives would of course be salivating over them and saluting them with our tent-poles.
Good plan, because christians are mature enough to get along together aren't they? Just like In Northern Ireland. Deport everyone who doesn't share your idiocy, and you're left with a nation of idiots. And I bet Ron thought that up all by himself.
What part of liberty an freedom don't you understand, Ronny?
This is almost as stupid as "I hate immigrants; I'm gonna move to a country that doesn't accept immigrants!".
Constantly being faced with attitudes like that, I'm almost willing to take you up on it (not that I'm going the way of Brendan Rizzo). But no, I think I'd rather stay here and fight the Christian Taliban which is constantly trying to turn the country into a Christian version of Iran. Besides, the country needs more people like me (atheists, freethinkers, tolerant) who are thorns in the side of Christian nationalists. If we leave, they win.
"
Maybe it is time to deport, not the illegals with faith in God, but every Illegal and American without faith in God"
Wouldn't they just lie to avoid being deported? I know I would.
"Without God there is no foundation for our liberties or freedoms."
I give you the U.S. Constitution. A thoroughly and purposefully secular document. Our Constitution became the model for secular governance all over the world.
Our founders were men of reason and would roll over in their graves if they knew the type of people, christian fundamentalists, who were claiming things in there name and rewriting our history.
There is a very good and obvious reason for a secular government but I am sure you are too deluded by ideological nonsense to use reason and discern why secular government is necessary for freedom.
"
Maybe it is time to deport, not the illegals with faith in God, but every Illegal and American without faith in God"
". Without God there is no foundation for our liberties or freedoms. "
Which you show yourself to be against and contradicting yourself. You have god and seem to oppose liberty and freedom for those of us who believe differently than you do. Also first amendment fail. And you might want to read texts that your supposed god was all about. It is antithesis of freedom
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
