It's obvious these people probably rarely ever have contact (IF EVER) with any black people in real life. Their comically inept and hammy attempt at "Ebonics" makes that clear. No black person in real life speaks like that, that sounds like a piss-poor attempt at sounding like some Blaxploitation movie character.

Anyways, I love the irony of Republicans accusing black people of being racist while making racist assumptions and conclusions of their own. If most black people just voted for Obama because he's black:

1) Why did most black voters support Hilary Clinton over Barack Obama until December 2007? That was the first month Obama was favored among black voters over Clinton. Her favor-ability went down among black voters when she started reaching out to racist elements among low-income white voters in rural Pennsylvania. Calling them "hard-working" as if to contrast black people against them as being "lazy".

2)Why has every white Democratic Presidential candidate since JFK received 70-90% of the black vote? Before FDR every Republican Presidential candidate received 60-90% of the black vote. FDR was the first Democrat to get the majority of the black vote, Eisenhower was the last Republican to get most of the black vote.

3) Why didn't most black voters vote for black Presidential candidates in previous elections? Like Cynthia McKinney, Al Sharpton, Carol Mosley Braun, R. Douglas Wilder, Jesse Jackson, Shirley Chisholm, etc.? They all got less than 5% of the black vote.

4) Why did black voters in Pennsylvania overwhelmingly vote for Ed Rendell (who is white) over Lynn Swann (who is black) in 2006?

Ebon

Black people have voted predominantly Democratic for decades, regardless of who was running.

Or maybe, just maybe, they see that Mittens and the Tea Party intend to screw over anyone who isn't an older heterosexual conservative Christian white male one-percenter whereas Obama does not.

@Rhowena - The Tea Party doesn't do themselves any favors with black voters either. Their voters are so stupid they can't even hide their racism at their rallies.

Most recent example:

"Go back to Kenya"

Oh yeah, THAT'S gonna prove your party really isn't racist. XD

"Dat be all we's sees in da hood."

Speaking of hoods, why do I get the feeling Doc was wearing one as he typed this nonsense?

I think DoctorDoom may be the first person since the 70's to use the word 'Supafly' in a sentence.

You know guys, I think we should stop putting DoctorDoom on here.

He gets stupider and more incoherent every post, I think he may be suffering from a brain disease.

Must be the result of having his family tree be more of a shrub.

I'm sorry, what did you say?

Oh My Dog!

Well, Obama is pretty fly.

Uh, Dr. Dumb, skin color is all YOU see, as you've just demonstrated.

Religion may poison everything, but racist fundies easily stake the largest claim when it comes to murdering comedy.

"Dat be all we's sees in da hood."

Funny, then, how you and your ilk are always rambling on about how the incumbent commander-in-chief "feels foreign".

No, Leliel. His family tree is more like a telephone pole. It doesn't branch at all.

*Incomprehensable faux-ebonic gibberish*

What gets me is that a lot of these bigots come from a background where THEY, TOO, pretty much butcher the Queen's English....yet they laugh at ebonics despite the fact that it shares many linguistic similarities to "Lil Abner talk".

Oh, yes "Mr. Jim-Bob", you're like a regular Sebastian Cabot!

(Not saying all bigots are Southern or all Southerners are bigots, mind you....)

There is a shade of truth in this behind the hideously racist stereotype.
Barack Obama may have got a similar proportion of the black vote to previous Democrats, but that was the percentage of the black people who voted, a number which was far far higher when Obama was running, so many black citizens who did not vote before made a point of voting for Obama, many stating that it was because of his race.

"...many stating that it was because of his race."

How many? And how does anyone know this?

9/16/2012 12:37:18 PM

@Rabbit of Caerbannog - Probably because they heard one or a few black comedians say they voted for Obama because he's black (since they're comedians they said that to be funny, not necessarily because it's true) and assumed that most black people feel the same way because the black people in the audience laughed.

While I'm quite sure there ARE black people out there who voted for Obama because he's black there are also white people out there who voted AGAINST Obama because he's black or voted for white candidates in previous elections because they're white. Before the election there were even some white DEMOCRATS who admitted they "weren't ready" for a black President:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-q4MDQ0cDI

Which makes me wonder how many white Republicans felt the same. If it was that many white Democrats it was probably even more white Republicans. A lot of Republicans (and some Democrats) are making the "who voted for Obama because he's black" thing an issue because this is the first time any white person has ever had to ask themselves if the President will be fair to white people (since he's not white). The answer was always assumed "Yes" for every other President because they were white, but that was a question black people had to ask themselves about every other President they voted for, in regards to their feelings about black people.

Catgirl_Fetish

This is what happens when your only exposure to "black people" is Skids and Mudflaps from Transformers 2.

Doubting Thomas

Or, it could be that Republicans have not reached out to the black population one bit, and instead have constantly focused on trying to trash Obama's reputation in order to try to make him a one-term president to the detriment of everything else, not to mention the fact that the racist teabaggers have enormous influence in the Republican party.

THAT'S why Romney is polling at 0% with black Americans.

You fine people do realize this was all in response to Samuel L Jackson and (one) of his racist rants? You do realize how ignorant crying about someone else dissing racism makes you look? No? That would be why the site you folks think is making fun of others is a source of humor in and of itself for the rest of the 'net. Get out a little and experience something, and someone, that doesn't reinforce your trite leftism.

9/19/2012 11:36:13 AM

@ScottLC - Do tell us what Samuel L. said that was so "racist"...and what racist remarks he's made in the past since you said "one" as if to imply he's made many.

Also, tell us how the response is not racist or how supposed racism from Samuel L. justifies racism in return. I guess Righties believe in "defensive racism"?

"You fine people do realize this was all in response to Samuel L Jackson and (one) of his racist rants?"

Samuel L. Jackson's "racist rants"?

"You do realize how ignorant crying about someone else dissing racism makes you look?"

Wait, who's dissing racism? You don't mean Doc, do you? The same guy who throws around racial epithets like they were going out of style (and they have)? The same cretin who jokes about exterminating black people? That Doc? Not sure what you think racism is, but your forum is dripping with it.

"No? That would be why the site you folks think is making fun of others is a source of humor in and of itself for the rest of the 'net."

Well of course we're making fun of others. That's our site's sole purpose. But, if FSTDT is just "a source of humor in and of itself" for you, why do you bother showing up here and acting so profoundly butthurt?

"Get out a little and experience something, and someone, that doesn't reinforce your trite leftism."

Because WLD does NOTHING to reinforce your existing right wing views.

And yes, that invitation extends to the good Doctor as well.
