Quote# 89648

Many doomsday UFO cults believe aliens are coming to take them away to another planet. They desire to depart to escape a terrible fate that they fear will soon befall the earth. Most people just laugh them off as being a bunch of nuts, and would never dream of writing them.

What makes RR different is the innate realization that the prophetic message we promote is factual and will someday happen.

"What makes RR different is the innate realization that the prophetic message we promote is factual and will someday happen."

Explain how you know this is factual. Every prediction so far has been wrong.

Oh My Dog!

Most people just laugh them off as being a bunch of nuts

They do this with Christian Rapture cults too.

There really is no difference, but if it makes you fell better, go on and believe that.

This is the same RR which has been confidently saying "the Rapture will happen this year" for years?

I move this to be put in every dictionary as the definition of "irony".

"the prophetic message we promote is factual"

The Millerites said the same in 1844. As did Harold Camping in May/October 2011. The Jehovah's Witlesses keep saying the same over and over. Ever hear of the story of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf", Ruptured Retards...?

"What makes RR different is the innate realization that the prophetic message we promote is factual and will someday happen."

The same could be said of all doomsday cults. What is a Raptard? A miserable little pile of latter-day Jonestown-ers. But enough talk, drink the Kool-Aid!

What makes RR the same is they are just a bunch of nuts but they can never realise this, and will forever believe they will be beamed up into the sky, no matter how long it has not happened.

Actually, there is really nothing to chose between being raptured and being abducted by aliens. Figure it out. the result is the same in either case - going off into the sky with a being/beings for whom there is no proof they exist.

Uh huh, yeah. Their being-saved-from-imminent-doomsday scenario is totally false and based on nonsense, while yours is based on hard, factual evidence. You're no different from them whatsoever.

Really, the only proper response to this is to fall on the floor, laughing hysterically.

What makes RR different is just the flavor of their escapist fantasy. The substance is the same though. You both want to (for whatever reason) leave this life and seek a better one. I'd sympathize (though I wouldn't agree; this is a good life and I'd like to be here as long as possible), but it doesn't end there. Oh no. You want everyone else to suffer horribly for some imagined crimes. That right there takes away any and all sympathy I have for your hatred of life.

As demonstrated by Rainbow Dash:

Todd & everyone on Ruptured Retards? Everything they say/do/think/'believe' is made of 20% more FAIL.

"Many doomsday UFO cults believe aliens are coming to take them away to another planet."

Yes. I do know that. I'm also aware of at least one doomsday Christian cult that believes Jesus is going to whoosh them into the sky any second now. You may have even heard of them.

"What makes RR different is the innate realization that the prophetic message we promote is factual and will someday happen."

The UFO guys at least have a somewhat slim chance of being right given that alien life almost certainly exists and, thus, could possibly come and abduct them all. Not likely, but it's at least potentially possible.

You guys, on the other hand, haven't got a chance in hell since your god doesn't appear to exist. Even if he did, your Wholly Babble says nothing of a Rapture as you expect it and, so far as I'm aware, only 144,000 Jewish male virgins are supposed to be flying off to Heaven.

I can't argue with that. Alien abcuction IS a much more attractive alternative than a President Romney.

What makes RR different is the fact that UFO cults don't believe that they'll be able to watch all the people that laughed at them suffer in agony.

Strange how your innate relization only occurs in those who have been taught about your cult....

Why its almost as though theres absolutely nothing innate about it at all!

The prophetic message was thought up 150 years ago and has repeatedly disappointed people every time someone claimed they had the right date. All the Rapture is is a UFO cult that managed to pass the test of time.
