I can see the abortion=murder argument. I don't agree with it (and neither does science or the law), but I can see how someone can say it is, even from a non-religious perspective. However, you can't possibly make homosexuality a crime because it has absolutely no logic. Nobody is harmed, everyone involved consents, and unlike drugs homosexuality is not a conscious choice nor is it a controlled substance. It's an interaction between two consenting adults. The reason the "pro-family" (they're anti-family in my opinion as they are against increasing the number of families) groups don't try to fight the battle to make homosexuality illegal (at least not publicly) is because they know they don't have a legal leg to stand on. You can't discriminate against 10% of the population and deny them the right to exist on religious grounds. That kind of thing may fly in the 1800s, but not now. Xenophobia is no longer a valid legal reason to deny people their rights.

What has become evident to me is the fact that most of these groups do not publicly address homosexuality as a crime and then demand that our civil authorities arrest, prosecute, and punish the sodomites.
You're way behind the times. The Supreme Court ruled that anti-sodomy laws are unconstitutional.
Christians need to understand that this is the same mistake that the pro-life groups made years ago by not addressing the criminal activity of murder -- by abortion.
Probably because abortion is legal, though that doesn't keep the pro-life crowd from throwing the words "murder" and "baby killer" around.
You know, you people really hurt your own cause by claiming that certain activities are illegal when the government has determined otherwise.

What does the Word of God say about when someone becomes a person? It's certainly not at conception. The only thing it says about this, to my knowledge, is that a child is counted among its people on the fortieth day after birth.
Sure, there is not such a thing as a right to commit sodomy. There is also no such thing as a right to commit missionary sex, either, dumbass. There is simply no such thing as a right to have sex. If you're lucky enough, you find someone who you are attracted to, and who is in turn attracted to you, and you agree to have sex. Or you find someone who procure certain services for a pecuniary reimbursement.
We generally prohibit things that harm people, or harm society. In what way can two consenting adults of the same gender living together harm anyone or society?
