Quote# 89774

As for the other question. What will happen to the children during the tribulation? Don't let the bible scholars or any other modern day Pharisee deceive you. Children do not come with an "auto-save feature". There is no age of accountability. If this were so then Christian parents would do well by sacrificing their children before they reach that age, thereby securing their eternal salvation. Not a bad little gift for juniors last birthday. The reality is that God doesn't work that way. When you die your spirit goes back to the Lord, regardless of what age you are. There is nowhere else to go. It's one side of the gulf or the other, no middle ground. The spirit of a child does not return to the Lord in child form but in the exact same way it left God's presence when you were conceived. God knew what you were like before you were even born. God can love or hate a child even before it comes out of the womb. He does not love every child. What happened to the children of Sodom and Gomorrah? Did He take them out with Lot before He poured fire down on them? What happened to the children of Noah's day? Did He squeeze them in kiddie land section of the ark? When He told the Isrealites to conquer a city and spare no one did He say except the children? The same fate awaits the children of the tribulation hour. Imagine a Heaven where millions or billions of children's spirits are present that hate God and His ways. What kind of Paradise would that be?

His god is made uneasy by children's spirits.

They want to protect life until the moment it's born, then torture it forever.

Well, you've given me another reason to reject Christianity.

9/27/2012 4:37:22 PM

Oh My Dog!

Lovely god you have there.

Well, points for consistency...

God knew what you were like before you were even born

So what's the point of being born at all?

I would admit that being a child does not make you a paragon of virtue. But this... this... my mind fails to come up with additives descriptive enough to clarify what kind of evil, immoral, hateful person could conceive such a notion. I am absolutely disgusted that you could even think of that concept, let alone believe it. I hope there is a hell, because you deserve it.

Thank you for admitting your amoral monster of a god kills children indiscriminately. Sorry pal, but there is nothing the children of Sodom could've been guilty of worth that kind of death and destruction.
You fuckers are immoral.

This is evil in so many ways.

Imagine that you have gone to hell for doing realy heinous things. All of a sudden you are pelted with small soft oblects. It is snowing featuses!
Then you realise that it is just a fetus front comming from the bazillion abortions performed on the earth. And feel them pop and crunch under your feet......

YEEEEEEECH!

So, as I always believed, your god is an immoral psychopath.

You do realize that if this god really existed, it would be the moral imperative of every human being to oppose him, right?

Uhm, equation7, I think someone would like a word with you.

Mark 10:14 Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God.15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. 16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Mt 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Mt 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

I wouldn't worry about it.

You people are sick and should be euthanised. It's just as well, then, that all the crap you believe in is fictitious.

See, this is EXACTLY the type of shit that drove me away from Christianity.

This actually makes sense if you're some kind of insane hardcore Calvinist. I can almost see what he's trying to say, but in the end it just shows that Calvinism is some seriously evil shit, and the Calvinist God even more evil.

Just...Me

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Every human is born sinful. Every human desires to sin--to disobey God. Every human earns what they strive for...death and hell, because they will not recognize that God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ ARE without sin.

So, God "could" just let us all fry, and He would be absolutely just in doing so...it is, after all, what we work towards every moment of every day that we put our will before His, as given in the Bible.

BUT, because He wanted to show that He can have mercy, He made it possible that His Son, in order to show that He deserves to be King of Kings and Lord of Lords, could die as a sacrifice to pay for the sins of some of humanity.

Because of this, there will be some that will believe, and will be saved, to stand as an eternal monument to God's grace and mercy. The rest will be cast into the lake of fire, to suffer as an eternal monument to His absolute justice and fairness (don't forget, we work daily at being sinful...He's just letting some have exactly what they want--death.)

The only flaw in people's way of thinking is that they somehow think that the Creator of Everything actually has any need whatsoever for humans. He WANTS to have some of us as His children. But, He has NO needs that we could even begin to fulfill.

True Christianity has nothing to do with what we get, what we want, what we do.

Real Christianity is recognizing (because He gave us that ability to see and hear) that God is All-Powerful, in total control, and has every right and reason to destroy any and all that go against Him.

Real Christians have fear and respect for His power and authority over all life. Those that are not called to believe in Him now will, most assuredly, discover that fear when they, after death, stand before His Son, Jesus Christ, to be held accountable for their actions of heart, mind and body.

@Just...Me
You should post your bullshit on a site full of people who care to hear it. No amount of "sinning" in one's finite lifetime justifies infinite punishment, and nothing you say is going to change that. If this god you speak of doesn't need humans then he shouldn't have created them in the first place if all he wants to do is either have them kiss his ass or suffer forever for having the gall to use the free will that he gave them in the first place. You should know your religion is twisted when your "god" sounds like an egotistical, sadistic tyrant with no real morality but "might makes right".

I've spent quite some time on this site, and this is still possibly the best cognitive dissonance I've seen.

Hey, Just... Me, I have no need for you. You have nothing to offer me. And I have the power to torture and murder you. So next time you go preaching hate and hellfire, or doing anything else I disagree with, prepare for me to torture you for what will seem like an eternity. It's not even a fraction of what your god could offer, but at least I know you'll see no moral problem with my actions, right?

As for equation7 - thanks for the succinct explanation of why Christian morality is evil.
