Yep, any day now...
And next year they'll be saying the same thing, and the year after that, and the year after that...

@last paragraph - partial reinforcement. It's why you're still repeating this anyways.

Where does the Bible even say half this stuff? I'm damn sure it doesn't mention anything about Islam awaiting a Mahdi, considering that Islam didn't exist at the time.

You know, everyone seems to have always thought the end was near.
Hindus tended to believe they are in the Kaliyuga because things like the caste system weren't functioning properly for the longest time.
Christians have been expecting Christ's return for a long long time.
Islam? Twelvers had to come up with the excuse that the Twelfth Imam is has already been born and has only been waiting some centuries to reveal himself.

Or, your god doesn't exist, the bible is just and old book and your interpreting "the signs" as you want them to be.

"Why would God tell us what to watch for - set it up exactly that way - then, have it come to nothing? "
That's a good question. It was all set up so perfectly in 1991 - christians were so excited that the Soviet Union was falling, surely it meant the end was nigh. Then it came to nothing. I have a hard time getting excited about it again many yrs down the road.

'Why would God tell us what to watch for - set it up exactly that way - then, have it come to nothing?'
That's a good question, almost certainly the only good question ever to be asked on RR. Now we know the answer to it, but would you like to try and guess first Mary?

Oh, Mary, you're getting close. Keep going down that line of logic, girl, you'll get there.

So the Apocalypse is equivalent to Christmas? Wow...

"So the Apocalypse is equivalent to Christmas?"
Advent is traditionally the season for thinking about the Second Coming.
"Why would God tell us what to watch for - set it up exactly that way - then, have it come to nothing?"
William Miller thought exactly the same in October 1844. His followers called it the Great Disappointment and from the Millerites came the Seventh Day Adventists.

So either you Raptards are wrong, or your god is the most evil trickster in the history of mythology. Hmmm, I dunno, it's hard to choose.

I thought Jesus claimed he'd be coming back in the lifetime of the Apostles? Funny how you nutbags patiently await the destruction of the world like that would be a great thing. Your ideology is hardly psychopathic...nope....

When you say 'Israel is calling for it's Messiah' I'll just assume you're talking about the Jews. As a Jew I can tell you we're not really waiting with bated breath for our Messiah anymore, we've kind of moved on from that.
At least the Reform and Secular Jews like myself.

I'll never get over the "excitement" for the rapture. Why the fuck would God be happy that you can't wait to put the sublime beauties he created in your rear view mirror? if it's Christmas, you're treating Earth like a shitty turtle neck your grandma bought you

Honestly I have to give this fundie points for even knowing this much about Islam. Most RRtards only know it as "that false religion where those sand niggers worship a moon god".

This reminds me, though it's only kind of related, of an idea I've been kicking around to write a story or short, fifty page or so comic based on the idea of Revelations playing out and going point by point... then Satan winning. Not too many ideas for it offhand, just an idea that kind of came to mind a few days ago, but if nothing else the resulting controversy would probably give my more full-time comics a good spike.
I dunno, I have a lot of ideas I don't wind up pursuing, but been wanting to mention that to someone or other.

I wonder when they'll discover god isn't real, then. Probably they're incapable of that realization, but still....
