I can't really bring myself to loathe this guy. He's tame compared to what most fundies who make it onto this site say, his chosen target is walking away without a scratch, and he just doesn't have any grasp of standard english. He's a conspiracy nut, he doesn't understand how the media in the west operates, and he overestimates the importance of financial institutions to Americans. And now we reach the heart of the matter. There's no point in talking to these people about freedom of speech, expression or art. They just don't get it. And it's not their fault, it's because they live in a society where those things don't exist at all.
Let's face it, most Muslims today still live under dictatorships and under a dictatorship anything you see in the media and on TV is made by and controlled by the state. But where in America the state has very little power over what goes on TV and have no control at all about the Internet. So to these people, the fact that The Innocence of Muslims exists implies it has the approval, if not the outright patronage, of the United States government. When in reality it was made by a bunch of talent-less assholes with a green screen and prop swords and all the government can do is say "Sorry but what can we do?"
In other words, the only way these people will stop being mad at us is if our government becomes as oppressive as theirs. Well fuck you.

Err, you sure about that? IIRC the last Shah's installation was very much the doing of the CIA. Before they handed him the reins, Iran had a democratically elected prime minister. But once he rubbed the West the wrong way, the US ousted him.
