I've noticed that too. It's strange how the people who post all sorts of racist nonsense get the most irate when anyone suggests they're racist. I guess not just racist, but bigoted in general.
For example, on Facebook someone was making anti-gay statements and I suggested he was a bigot. He got totally upset and outraged, and then later stated that he refuses to share company of "known homosexuals."
So for some reason bigots and racists really hate being called out on their bigotry and racism. Perhaps subconsciously they know that they're in the wrong.

@Doubting Thomas - I always assumed it was because they don't have a good counterargument to you calling them that other than saying "Nuh-uh!" in so many words because they know it's true. They know they really are what you called them and they're furious that there is no good way for them to refute that truthful allegation.
But you could have a point too. Deep down they may morally realize they're up to devilment but don't enough scruples to stop and try to change their retched ways.
