I'll agree with one thing. With the economy improving, unemployment falling, and Romney still behind in the polls Romney WOULD need a miracle to win. Unfortunately for Romney gods are in very short supply; as in zero.

So God is against democracy, and is going to ignore everyones vote and just put whoever he wants in charge.

In any other country, Glenn would be wandering around the streets mumbling to himself, or perhaps shouting disconnected phrases on a bus. In America, you give him his own show. It's very public-spirited of you, America.

Are you sure it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that he called the retired, the military and the desperately poor useless scroungers?

We had the same thing eight years ago with Gore vs Bush, where the loser was given victory by arbitrary judgement, but it wasn't god.

Your Babble says that all government officials are ordained by God. Obama, Barney Frank, Barbara Boxer... all of them.

This election is about God giving Glenn Beck the finger.

So the whole "free will" thing was just a typo in Genesis? It's not an act of God that brings a president into office in the US. It's dictated by the choice of the people. What's the point of a democracy if the end result is just decided by some outside party?
Actually, that goes for everybody who attributes the poll numbers to divine intervention. Do they even understand how the electoral process works? That it's actual human beings each making their own decisions and not God saying, "Okay, you guys vote for the dude with the eyebrows and the rest of you can vote for whoever"?
It's the type of cognitive dissonance that really pisses me off.

Here "Divine Intervention" means "Disenfranchisement and furious voter fraud."

That sounds like the fundie God, alright. He never does anything simple and straightforward, like appearing on the Six O'Clock News and saying "I prefer Romney". No, He always has to come up with some vague, bizarre, roundabout Rube Goldberg scheme for doing things. Did He just smite the Amorites? No. He stopped the sun. Did He just kill off the sinful humans? No. He had Noah build a boat (He didn't even build the damn boat!) and gather a bunch of animals. Then it didn't even do any good, because the people were just as sinful afterwards - righteousness isn't inherited like eye color.
These people make God sound like a moron.

Republican wins = it's God's will
Democrat wins = he's the Antichrist
It's good that your mythology allows 360° rationalizations, no matter what happens.

You're going to look really stupid in November. Oh who am I kidding, you're Glenn Beck. You always look stupid.

Glenn Beck is just getting crazier by the quote. I swear at one point he used to be at least coherent levels of insane, rather than... this.

Someone make a recording of that quote, and everyday after the election call him up and play it back for him.

But wouldn't that mean that Mitt Romney could have won on his own, but that Beck's god then screwed up his chances on purpose just so he could save the day later? Not exactly a good sales pitch on the importance of a god...

Ok, my religious life was only like 7 years long and I was a child, but there is this concept that God doesn't mess with the free will of people (although he'll punish them for all eternity if he doesn't like their choices), but the idea that God was manipulating the polls would either mean that God changed the will of people, which means he only likes free will if it is convenient for him (like you, Glenn) or he changed the numbers which would make God a liar.
So, if you have another rational that'll be great, until then and for me you just said the God you believe in lies to people.

America is in thrall to these radio and TV religion hawkers. Why don't so many Americans read and think for themselves?
As to Romney, as a Mormon he believes that he is/will become a god.... Whatever happened to "thou shalt not have strange gods before Me"?
Is Beck Mormon too?
Effectively Mormons are polytheists. No?
