Damn all kinds of humanism [on which all modern democracies are built]!

Oh no, people will love their neighbours just like Jesus said!
10/7/2012 7:46:10 AM
There is no god.
You all lose universally.
10/7/2012 7:50:26 AM
"Universalism is the belief that you can worship any way you want, just so long as it's to our god."
10/7/2012 7:56:52 AM
Well, Universalism sounds infinitely better than, "You have to believe what I believe or else you're an evil person who's doomed to hell and as such I have every right to persecute you."
10/7/2012 7:59:46 AM
Oh no, people being nice to one another is a sign of the anti-christ.
10/7/2012 8:48:10 AM
While i do not agree with universalism, jumping from #1 to #2 is dumb.
10/7/2012 8:48:27 AM
Oh no! People will stop fighting and unite in a belief that life is pretty good! What ever will we DO?
10/7/2012 8:52:28 AM
Well, that went fucknuts crazy in between paragraphs.
10/7/2012 8:55:17 AM
Well, the universalists are correct - all religions (including atheism) do eventually lead to God. The problem is that when those who do not know Christ get there, they will be immediately carted off to the Lake of Fire. The question isn't "will I face God," but "what will happen to me when I do?" The only question God will ask is "did you know my son Jesus?" If your answer is "no, but I was a good Buddhist, Hindu, Jew, Native American" or whatever, God will say "depart from me, I never knew you." And you will be cast into hell with all of the apes, richard dawkins, satan, etc.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
In other words, the people to whom Jesus says "depart from me, I never knew you" will not be Buddhists, Hindus etc. but people who professed a belief in Jesus despite never living by a word he said. People like you.

I don't much care for New Agers with their "many spokes in the wheel, all leading to the center" either, but I'd rather have them as neighbors than fundies of any religion.

Jesus Christ, His, do you have some sort of brain-eating virus? It seems like you're just getting more insane and hateful as time goes by. Maybe you're just a very clever atheist trying to show the world just how hateful and unforgiving Christianity is. If so, great job, keep it up.
10/7/2012 10:00:53 AM
The first paragraph makes a good argument for Universalism. The second a good argument for the anti christ. Also one world religion? Like the one Christians seem to advocate for?
10/7/2012 10:01:59 AM
"The Universalist movement will eventually be the one world religion worshipping anti-christ in the final days. It will meld all or most religions into a humanistic, self-serving religion with no absolute truth or standard of morality. In essence, members will be “self worshippers” believing man is god"
I believe that the Bible makes it clear that the anti-christs (yes, there are a LOT of them talked about in the Bible) will be making false prophecies.
You are making one... how do we know? Because the Bible points out that there will be no more prophecies after Jesus.
10/7/2012 10:28:57 AM
Religions that are not devoted Bible Godists need but look around them to see the obvious truth of Bible God's indisputable, glorious and somewhat hideous existence.
Look about you and see all-devouring greed champing and salivating as it snaffles up everything within range of its gooey maw.
See the champions of violence and torture chortle with barely repressed glee as the pitiful screams of their abused victims evince a manic gleam in their torturers' psycho eyes.
See how the world is entirely consumed by racism, bigotry, zealotry, greed and misogyny.
How the sheer magnificence and wondrous awe of the above doesn't convince you of the existence of the somewhat hideous Bible God leaves me speechless.
10/7/2012 10:56:33 AM
Nice. I like to make up prophesies too.
10/7/2012 11:16:37 AM
Oh My Dog!
While I disagree with their "all gods are the same" view, they are a lot easier to get along with.
And... self-serving religion with no absolute truth or standard of morality.
This is why you are so hard to get along with. You think you are morally superior to everyone else. Well, I have news for you; you're not. And if any religion is self serving, it would be yours. You think that if you just ask Jesus for forgiveness you get a free pass from having to face your own shortcomings. You don't have to work at improving yourself as a human being with Jesus on board. Am I right?
You are the ones who are "self worshippers".
The fact that you think everything is all about you and your bible prophecies proves this.

As usual, it's revealing to take the things which this person considers "bad" and just look at their opposites, to see where he's coming from.
In place of universalism, narrow elitism. Instead of the inherent goodness of man, man as inherently evil. Instead of the salvation of all, the salvation of a few.
Instead of global integration, localism. Instead of humanism, theocracy. In place of "no absolute truth or standard of morality", Biblical literalism and the Law of Moses. Instead of autonomy, submission to religious authority.
What we arrive at is some sort of bigoted ultra-Calvinism, as usual.

Apes? Apes go to hell? Do all animals go to hell of is it just apes? ..and why is that?

Maybe they're hoping to evolve into people, and as we all know evolution was made up by the Debbil.
10/7/2012 12:25:25 PM
Oh My Dog!
And you will be cast into hell with all of the apes...
Are you condemning yourself to Hell as well?
All humans are apes; we, along with bonobos, chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans are of the family Hominidae.
10/7/2012 12:34:42 PM
Paragraph one and paragraph two sound like they're making opposite arguments. 1) Niceness, laid-back-ness, acknowledging Jesus. 2) THEREFORE self-worship and the anti-christ.
I see the connection between 'laid-back acceptance of many paths' and 'moral relativism,' and understand sort of how in your mind that is lessening God and therefore exalting man, but where the hell does the Antichrist come in?
@His4Life: 36 Intentionally Missing the Point Points to you. And seriously, Jesus had so much more problem with people who made a big fuss about having the right religion, than he did with people who had the wrong one. What does that make you, Ms. Prays On The Street Corners Like the Pharisees?
@PuleThamex: You used the word 'evince' wrong. It means to show, reveal, or give evidence of something, not to cause to come about. The thesaurus might make it look like it works where you used it, but it doesn't.
Something that is evinced is presumed to have already existed before the evidence is presented, so the torturers could evince their glee with a manic glint of the eye, but the screams that provoke the glint do not evince it.
10/7/2012 12:43:21 PM
Well, as an atheist, I DO believe that all religions are equally true.
How exactly will we be worshipping the anti-Christ if we are "self-worshipping believing man is god?" If we believe ourselves to be god, why would we be worshipping the big, baddie from your religion?
10/7/2012 12:49:18 PM
How many times do you (and your ilk) have to be told that atheism is not a religious before it gets through your terminally thick skulls?
Also, given that it seems your god bases his judgement not on the way the person behaved and acted in life, but one what religion they followed, your god is once again, proven to be a tyrannical bastard.
So is he really worth anyone's praise or worship?
