Quote# 89937

Universalism is a movement to recognize all religions as equally true and viable options to recognize the one true God. Universalists usually believe all spiritual movements lead to God and usually acknowledge Jesus Christ as a great moral teacher. Many believe man is inherently good and that all are destined to eternal life with God.

The Universalist movement will eventually be the one world religion worshipping anti-christ in the final days. It will meld all or most religions into a humanistic, self-serving religion with no absolute truth or standard of morality. In essence, members will be “self worshippers” believing man is god

Whoopy-doo and who gives a shit?

@His4Life

The only question God will ask is "did you know my son Jesus?" If your answer is "no, but I was a good Buddhist, Hindu, Jew, Native American" or whatever, God will say "depart from me, I never knew you.

Who would have thought that the eternal creator of heaven and earth would turn out to be such a fucking asshole?

The Crimson Ghost

I hate to feed the trolls but this time I just have to-

Troll4Life-atheism is NOT a religion. Never was, never will be.

Why the fucking hell do you even come to this site in the first place? Do you honestly think that you're going to change anyone's mind?
All we do is laugh at you & your ilk. You prove with EVERY damn post of yours that I've read that you are an incurable idiot, much like the original poster.

Kindly shove your evangelism up your ass; it is very tiresome.

10/7/2012 2:20:56 PM

His4Life

TheCrimsonGhost, I should have used the word "belief system," rather than religion. Why do I come here? As you know, Jesus went where he was needed, not where he was wanted. Yes, I am hated here, but if even one person here goes to heaven because of my witness, it will be worthwhile. Even if not, at least I made my stand and tried to present an alternative viewpoint here.

His4Life

OhMyDog, why are you calling me an "ape?" Is it because I'm black? That's insulting.

Capello, apes, orangutangs, etc., are disgusting mockeries of what God has made. Satan hates the human form because we are made in creator's likeness, so he seeks to pervert and destroy it. These twisted, human-like perversions are the resulted.

10/7/2012 2:33:56 PM

Filin De Blanc

Um, I thought God created all the beasts of the field etc etc. Just because you personally don't like apes doesn't mean you have any theological basis whatsoever for declaring them evil.

10/7/2012 2:39:23 PM

Oh My Dog!

@His4Life

Reread my post, I said all humans are apes.

10/7/2012 2:47:37 PM

His4Life

Oh my Dog, that's your belief as an evolutionist. I do not believe that.

I admire the optimistic view the UUs seem to have of the species, that we can all get along and celebrate our diverse beliefs without getting pissy at each other. I do not share that optimism. But I want to. *Cue Wednesday Adams smile*

10/7/2012 4:57:00 PM

His4Life

Filin, interestingly enough, it does not mention apes in that passage. "Beasts of the field" are more like cows, oxen, etc. I don't recall anywhere in Genesis where it mentions God making humanoid creatures other than man.

It does, however, mention that fallen angels entered into the earth and copulated with human women, producing distorted human hybrids. I believe this is where apes, monkeys, and other humanoid animals come from and God will promptly destroy them in the end. So yes, all of your prized monkies will burning in hell with you, as evidence of "evolution." ;-)

10/7/2012 5:01:16 PM

His4Life, getting a bit too obvious with your last post... might want to tone it back down if you want to stay believable.

10/7/2012 5:02:30 PM

@His4Life - So Native American is a religion now? Didn't realize it was Christian doctrine that all Native Americans are going to hell. Bad break for them, huh?

10/7/2012 5:05:38 PM

but most christians do not stone people to death as God commands so what matter does it make ?

10/7/2012 5:24:15 PM

I'm a Unitarian Universalist. You are stupid as all hell. All thing being equal, I win.

10/7/2012 5:25:38 PM

Firewing

The goal of Universalism is admirable, but unrealistic. Religion is chaos, unable to be united. The religious will always be bound and determined to destroy each other in their lust for power, and take all of humanity with them.

All religions are self-serving, and their followers know nothing of truth or morality, and believe themselves above everyone else with no justification whatsoever.

@His:

Please, don't pull the race card. The only reason anyone who posts here might care about your race is if they share it and don't want such a negative portrayal of black people shoved in their face. We don't go to your regular haunts and evangelise only to cry persecution when we damn well know it's a lie.

And you should know by now that it is a biological fact that humans are apes. By the definition of the word ape, we are apes. You can't define apes in a way that excludes humans without inserting "except humans". Orangutans are apes too, FYI.

The Bible doesn't explicitly mention lots of things. In fact, it seems a bit light on details. Has your incredibly complete theological knowledge allowed you to examine every species* on Earth and determine their divine or corrupt origin? What are Triceratops, Nephilim-Komodo dragon hybrids? Oh, I forgot; triceratops didn't exist, it's a worldly lie to undermine glory to God.

Please, check with reality first before spouting further nonsense. Anything else is your belief as a wilfully ignorant fundie. We do not believe your ridiculous assertions.

Either you are the worst at reading comprehension of all people ever on this site, or you are a liar.

*As all the great apes are different species (except a few subspecies of chimpanzee which are really interesting), they cannot interbreed with each other or humans. So, either hybridisation can produce speciation, or you might want to reconsider your beliefs. Also, did Noah save these unholy abominations, or have more sprung up due to the Nephilim's high sexual demand recently?

As for the OP, fail. Just humanistic, self-serving on its own is an oxymoron. Like selfish altruism. Or

10/7/2012 5:52:16 PM

At their core all religion are basically self-worship and egocentrism.

Why else would almost all religions have the tenet that man is made in the image of some supreme deity? And why else would they believe that the supreme deity would even notice the mewlings of the insignificant masses?

10/7/2012 5:58:21 PM

Oh My Dog!

@His4Life

I don't "believe" in evolution. I accept it based on all the evidence that supports it.

@ Troll4life-

You are dumber than a sack of whale shit if you think your preaching does anything at all. You are certainly not needed here.

And don't play the goddamned race card-all that does is make you look even stupider than you already are, something I wouldn't have thought was humanly possible, but there you go.

Kindly go sit on your cross.

@The Crimson Ghost
"And don't play the goddamned race card-all that does is make you look even stupider than you already are"

But that's exactly how fundamentalist religion has warped this lunatic's mind into operating. If you read all the comments she makes here, especially regarding race, it becomes very clear that she sees pretty much everything in childishly simplistic terms of "us" versus "them", one group against another. She's sees the tiny, inconsequential differences between people before the glaringly obvious similarities. Of course she'll play the race card whenever she can. Religion's been doing this to people for millennia, so it's really no surprise that this fundie lunatic isn't any different.

@Lunatic4Life
"Yes, I am hated here, but if even one person here goes to heaven because of my witness, it will be worthwhile. Even if not, at least I made my stand and tried to present an alternative viewpoint here."

Then your very presence and the reasons behind it are an insult to our intelligence! Do you think we've never heard of your insane death-cult before? That the bullshit ideas you spew are entirely new to us? We are all here precisely because we have heard the "alternative viewpoint" that you propose, and have recognized it exactly for what it is: bullshit. We're not so uninformed and oblivious to the world around us that we need one of god's idiot representatives pestering us incessantly. But then, why would you be concerned about insulting one's intelligence when you clearly possess none yourself? Now, to borrow from Anon-e-moose, obey Matthew 10:14 and leave! Take your trolling bullshit elsewhere! Go and find a place among fellow lunatics somewhere; they will appreciate what you have to say much more than we do.

"Capello, apes, orangutangs, etc., are disgusting mockeries of what God has made...These twisted, human-like perversions"

Words cannot express the contempt and disgust I hold for you. To hold such hatred for an entire family of species based on the insane ramblings of a book written by ignorant goat-herders! You speak as if all the other member-species of the hominidae family as a whole have personally wronged you. This is another repulsively clear example of how religion warps people into seeing only differences between people - or in this case, species - and condemning them for it, while ignoring any and all similarities. These other apes (and yes, I say other because humans are apes, whether or not you want to believe it; you can say you believe that 2 + 2 =/= 4, but your "beliefs" do not make you any less wrong) share with us so much of what makes us human - our tool use; our emotions; empathy, the very basis for morality and ethics; capability for symbolic communication; the ability to learn, develop, and teach skills and ideas, which form the basis for culture - but no, you would see every member of every non-human species of ape cast into hell and draw pleasure from watching them suffer. You, madam, and all those like you, are a repulsive excuse for a human being and an embarrassment to our species. Good day!

"I believe this is where apes, monkeys, and other humanoid animals come from and God will promptly destroy them in the end. So yes, all of your prized monkies will burning in hell with you, as evidence of "evolution.""

And your basis for believing this is what exactly? Nothing. It's not in the Bible. You just pulled it out of your rectum. Have you ever considered the possibility that just because you dislike something doesn't mean God does?

Oh, I don't hate you. I pity you for being so indoctrinated into believing that such a monster of a god, if he exists, cares the slightest bit for you.

- Yuck, I really don't care for this new His4Life who wavers between unctuousness and martyrdom. I prefer the old His4Life who told tall tales, pretended to be knowledgeable and stormed off after being shown up. That one was kind of amusing.
