Q. Isn't science a religion?
Think about it. Have you ever seen air, atoms, molecules, or evolution? No. FACT.

Science requires just as much faith (if not more) than religion. FACT.

Well, we know from Jack Chick's famous tract Big Daddy? that Jesus holds atomic nuclei together....

Meeeh

Have you ever seen air, atoms, molecules...

Yes I have and now you have too:

That is IBM written with individual atoms.

I stand by my statements. I'm sorry that I have faith unlike you pretencious atheist losers who hate America and support the gay and Muslim agenda.

Electron microscopes, use them.

Oh, and lern 2 spll Patriet

@CCP: Oh, so now we don't have faith? I thought we needed it to believe science?

Dr. Shrinker was right, you must be a Poe.

The problem is that we both have faith to a certain extent, however, your faith is largely unjustified to the fact that you use your agenda to promote hate and bigotry among your peers by attempting to indoctrinate our impressionable youth into the lies of atheism, homosexuality, socialism, Islam, and evolution.

My faith has over 2000 years worth of evidence to back it up. Air, atoms, molecules, and evolution are all simply theories that could very well be wrong.

I would have no problems with you guys believing in these ridiculous theories if you didn't try forcing these upon my children who don't know any better.

clap-clap Very entertaining performance! The judges give you a 9.5.

His4Life, pay attention now, you could learn a few things from this character.

Have you ever seen God? No. FACT.

Capslocking the word fact doesn't make you asinine comments a fact.

Air isn't real? I suggest you try not to breathe any in, see how real it is, ok?

10/12/2012 4:40:47 PM

Have you ever tested, made experiments and apply the rules you learnt succesfully?

"Think about it."

It's more than you ever have. [/snark]

"Have you ever seen air"

Smoke introduced into the airstream in wind tunnel tests, to see how the aerodynamics are affected (or hopefully not, re. the designers!) by the shape of a model/actual sized car/plane etc. Next question. [/smartarse]

"atoms, molecules"

Electron microscopes. Next question II

"or evolution?"

One word: Yes. Next Question III, Science = FACT, ergo, not a religion, Creationism is further annihilated, and you and your so-called 'religion' have struck out, Christain Cuntservative Batshit.

'Intelligent Design'? No. LIES. As proven above, we Atheists not only have the fossils, we win, the law no less (PROTIP: Romans 13:1-5) proves Evolution is fact, and Creationism - and therefore religion - is lies. Can't dispute the Law itself, pal.

Evidence = Facts. Science = Facts, ergo, Science =/= 'Religion'. 'Religion' = 'Faith'. 'Faith' =/= Evidence. Ergo, 'Religion' = LIES. Q.E. and D., bitch.

Welcome to Planet Reality. Enjoy your stay.

@Dr.Shrinker

Watch me annihilate this fucker:

"your faith is largely unjustified to the fact that you use your agenda to promote hate and bigotry among your peers by attempting to indoctrinate our impressionable youth into the lies of atheism, homosexuality, socialism, Islam, and evolution"

Your 'faith' in the Bible is total, absolute, amirite? As in Literalist? Okay. So presumably you think this is the indisputable model of the universe, as per the literal 'fact' of the Bible:

Thus the 'Flat Earthers' are right? Let me introduce you to the M-777 Howitzer:

Developed & brought into service in 2002. The most advanced artillery piece in existence today.

M-777 Howitzer crews in the US Army/Marines - in calculating where the 155mm round lands (especially via info from the Forward Observation Post) - take into account wind speed, air temperature, and curvature of the Earth, to ensure accuracy of the rounds fired. To omit any one of these factors in their calculations, and it's guaranteed that they'd miss the target.

Now, taking into account what Magellan - as did the ancient Greeks (who calculated & determined that the Earth was spherical way before Christianity even existed) - discovered, and whose facts are used to this day by the US military, who is the liar: the 21st Century US Army/Marines (& thus the US DoD as a whole), with their military science, or God?

...take your time, I know it can be a dificult question to answer, for the hard of thinking such as you.

"Air, atoms, molecules, and evolution are all simply theories that could very well be wrong."

Gravity and Germs are 'theories' too. So I guess you won't mind in the slightest if you were to be injected with Ebola, whilst this extremely heavy anvil was dropped on your head from a great height. After all, mere 'theories' can't kill you.

(*Places note on the charred, crackling, smoking corpse of Christain Cuntservative Batshit's argument, which reads:*)

'Warmest Regards, your Friendly Neighbourhood Argument Annihilator.'

>:D

...oh, and as for:

"if you didn't try forcing these upon my children who don't know any better".

Don't forget the most important lesson to teach your kids 'who don't know any better'; which will serve them well in later life:

'Would you like fries with that?'

As they serve those - in their Mercedes-Benzs, BMWs, Lexuses et al - at the drive-through window, as these customers grab a quick bite on the way back to their high-flying & well-paid jobs at colleges & universities (where they teach other non-'hoemskuled' students), or at R&D facilities/labs, or at companies such as..., oh, I dunno, Lenovo, where they're about to make a breakthrough: the first laptop-sized Quantum Computer.

PROTIP: Lenovo is what was once the laptop division of IBM. Lenovo is based in China; nope, no 'religion' hamstringing their unlimited pool of educated talent, nosiree.

In Soviet China, God worships you.

You do the maths. oh yes, that's right: Mathematics is Science, and therefore bad, mm'kay?! PROTIP: Algebra is an Islamic invention.

He never heard of an electron microscope?

Sasha

I'm typing this from Northern Virginia, and I can most certainly see evidence of air as Sandy lashes the trees below my apartment window. That's a fuck of a lot more evidence than I've ever seen of the biblegod.

The question posited on Y!A was 'Isn't science a religion?'

Well, emphasising the first word, the question answers itself.

If Christain Cuntservative Batshit was as intelligent as he (and all other fundies like him, who - re. the Bible - claim to have all the answers. And even if he was a Poe as some suggest) claims, he would have simply re[hrased the question thus:

'Is science a religion?'

fixed

xyz

It's funny how he replies to the top answer with the simple statement: "Wrong."

Argument by assertion, anyone?

12/2/2012 5:15:10 PM

A. No

you can see that something is present by its actions, such as blowing leaves , dust and fog. You can measure the pressure and get a spectroscopic analysis of what makes up the "air".
Molocules I believe you can see with certain types of microscope. If molocules are true then atoms must also be true.
If faith is belief without proof then science requires no faith, in fact science would order faith to leave the room.

@Christian Conservative "Patriet"

Your religion has 2000 years of shaky belief to back it up. My science has consistent evidence to back it up. I'd link you to them, but I'm not sure you know how to read, since you very obviously don't know how to spell. FACT.

A: No, you fucking retard. Science is based on observable phenomena, not magical sky daddies that are both infinitely caring and full of torture-lust.
