Quote# 89966

Rabbi Yehuda Levin, spokesman for the Rabbinical Alliance of America issued the following statement:

“When Americans are suffering economically and millions need jobs, it’s shocking that the Administration is focused on its ultra-liberal militantly homosexualist agenda forcing the highlighting of homosexuals and homosexuality on an unwilling military. This is the equivalent of the spiritual rape of our military to satisfy the most extreme and selfish cadre of President Obama’s kooky coalition.

“We agree with Eileen Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness that this will hurt the cohesiveness of the military, cause many to leave the army, and dramatically lower the number of recruits, perhaps leading to the reinstatement of a compulsory draft.

“Thirteen months before 9/11, on the day New York City passed homosexual domestic partnership regulations, I joined a group of Rabbis at a City Hall prayer service, pleading with G-d not to visit disaster on the city of N.Y. We have seen the underground earthquake, tsunami, Katrina, and now Haiti. All this is in sync with a two thousand year old teaching in the Talmud that the practice of homosexuality is a spiritual cause of earthquakes. Once a disaster is unleashed, innocents are also victims just like in Chernobyl.

“We plead with saner heads in Congress and the Pentagon to stop sodomization of our military and our society. Enough is enough.”

Not eating your vegetables leads to rain the next day.
Homosexuality leads to earthquakes.

The amount of stupid is different, yet they have the same form.

God caused 9/11 because he was angry at America's liberalism? You do realize that's exactly what Al Qaeda believe don't you, you terrorist-loving bastard?

10/8/2012 4:36:08 AM

Yet its funny how none of those disasters happened in the places where homosexual marriage is legal.

Thanks for alerting everyone to the perils of homosexuality, I think you've have nipped it in the bud with your speedy response.

Take a day off now to recharge your batteries because, alas, your work is not yet done. You will be needed to spring back to the attack with renewed vigour to halt the growing tide of atheism.

Plus, don't forget, we're all relying on you to combat the onslaught of Liberalism, not to mention the threat of feminism.

May the raging sand gods of the desert loom over you in your forthcoming endeavors.

homosexuality on an unwilling military

I wouldn't call the military unwilling, since the majority of servicemembers don't have a problem with gays serving along side them.

Once a disaster is unleashed, innocents are also victims just like in Chernobyl.

Your god is a dick. I personally wouldn't harm innocent people, but apparently your god doesn't have that same kind of compassion.

If homosexuality causes earthquakes, why don't we have earthquakes every day? There are certainly homosexuals out and about every day in this great nation.

When Americans are suffering economically and millions need jobs, it’s shocking that the Republic party is focused on its ultra-fundie militantly obstructionist agenda, blocking all attempts of the American president to solve the problem, instead forcing the highlighting of a hysterical anti civil rights jihad on the military.

Although it may have the beneficial effect of driving their fellow bigots out of the military, leaving it in more American friendly hands.

So, gays cause the tectonic plates to slip? That's some damn good sex they're having. I can only manage to move the bed.

I served with an infantry regiment in the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve from 1969 to 1979. At that time gays were not allowed to serve, but some did anyway, and I personally knew two. Nice guys, and fine soldiers.

Respectfully, rabbi, go fuck yourself with a giant pork sausage.

Israel has allowed openly gay people to serve in its armed forces for years. Has anyone heard of any earthquakes striking Israel?

Didn't think so.

10/8/2012 6:24:22 AM

You think someone who belives gay people cause earthquakes has the "saner head"?

"Homosexualist?" C'mon.

Who other persons choose to have sex with or marry is really none of your business.

Just because your Talmud has been around for 2 thousand years doesn't mean it has ever been right, nor that it is right in our modern world. It just means it 2 thousand years old.

In Sweden gay people can marry and adopt children.
We have very few earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc, etc, etc.

The only one focused on homosexuality appears to be you, Rabbi. You wouldn't have anything you want to tell us, would you?

"We agree with Eileen Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness that this will hurt the cohesiveness of the military, cause many to leave the army, and dramatically lower the number of recruits, perhaps leading to the reinstatement of a compulsory draft."

It hasn't hurt the military of any other country that allows openly homosexual soldiers to enlist. Aside from that, the Pentagon did a study that showed that homosexuality of soldiers was nearly a non-issue for almost all personnel aside from the small bigoted minority you'll find in any large group of people.

"Thirteen months before 9/11, on the day New York City passed homosexual domestic partnership regulations, I joined a group of Rabbis at a City Hall prayer service, pleading with G-d not to visit disaster on the city of N.Y."

So, how'd that work out for you? Maybe being a bunch of whiny bastards pissed off your god and he had to teach you all a lesson. Ever think of that?

Fuck you and your superstitions, Rabbi.

John

I joined a group of Rabbis at a City Hall prayer service, pleading with G-d not to visit disaster on the city of N.Y.

And, as usual, God did nothing. So the rabbi had several potential explanations for this:

(a) Simplest: God doesn't exist.
(b) Next simplest: He exists but doesn't pay any attention to prayers.
(c) Somewhat less likely: He doesn't agree with discriminating against people.
(d) Even less likely: He pays attention to prayers, but not from a bunch of rabbis.
(e) Bizarre and far-fetched: He was going to listen but He was pissed off at New York City for not discriminating against gays. He figured He'd show this by killing a whole bunch of random people, many of whom didn't even live in the US, 13 months later.

Which one did he rabbi choose? (cue "What a Fool Believes)

Bullshit! According to a study by the Palm Center, one year after the repeal of DADT there has been absolutely no negative effects on our military caused by the repeal. You can read the report HERE.

So, part of your solution to deal with joblessness is to deny certain people (aka gays) the ability to work in a certain sector (aka the military).

He's right. Homosexuality has been around since forever, and so have earthquakes. The two are obviously linked somehow.
