(Orlando Cruz becomes first openly gay man in boxing)
This could actually intimidate his opponents. They are going to be careful of any contact with open cuts on his face or elsewhere. That blood could very well be the carrier of a fatal disease. You can’t avoid getting some of his blood on your own boxing glove and you can’t avoid using your own boxing glove to protect your own face.

Draw two circles like a Venn Diagram. Yes, they overlap but not by much. In one, you can put "gay people" and the other you can put "people with HIV". At this stage this is a fair representation. Back when the epidemic started, yes, the majority of the patients were gay but that's no longer the case. (And even if it were, why presume that every gay person had the disease?)
I don't care if someone is gay or not, I wouldn't want contact with anyone else's blood or other bodily fluids.
Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee are straight, but you wouldn't want to come into contact with their blood unless you want a case of Hep-C.
His blood doesn't suddenly become dangerous when he comes out with his gayness, ya know...
Isn't blood always considererd biohazard in transport and waste-disposal?
Yep, all gays are diseased, with HIV or some other blood disease. The cry of the sad man who can't think of anything smarter than the own bigoted slime-breathed opinions spewing forth out his mouth.
Maybe a good 60 seconds in the ring with Cruz would do you some good...
Even if our local lad Luke Campbell was gay (he's not, BTW), it wouldn't concern me one jot; if any of his opponents in the 2012 London Olympics were gay, did he care? No. He still brought Olympic Boxing Gold back to Hull: (on the balcony of Hull City Hall):

Hey moron, blood from heterosexuals could carry the same 'fatal disease'. And his being a professional boxer, he would be have to pass physical exam, including screening for HIV.
Free Republic, a land of Totalatarian Dominion Christian Rule and Racism.
I'm not sure how that is free or a republic, but K.
I actually wonder if someone with HIV could succeed in boxing. HIV drugs are pretty amazing and can return a near emancipated person back to relative normality. However I wonder if someone under the treatment would be capable of remaining physically fit enough to actually take part in competitive boxing. I know treatment can prolong ones life and dramatically raise ones standard of living, but how effective this is, is unknown to me. I would be interested to find out.
As for the comment, its just utter horse manure.

"Written by someone probably too afraid to leave his parents' basement."
Methinks not just because he's too scared of going out into that nasty big wide world beyond that basement door, for fear of contracting...:

A thought: If I watched sex on a 42" plasma TV, would I contract HDMI?
...I'll get my coat. X3
1. Straight people can have fatal diseases; for example, HIV.
2. Not all diseases can be transferred that way; for example, HIV requires a sizable amount of blood to be transferred from one person to another. Not even a mosquito can transfer HIV.
Confused?
