Quote# 89972

I believe that species of aliens that are like the Grays or like the Nordics may exist, and I believe that hybrids may be possible...but I DON'T back Jacobs's integration/infiltration theory for several reasons.
I don't back Jacobs's theory partly because he thinks that all Nordic-like aliens are really Gray hybrids, and he doesn't believe in any benevolent aliens...which is a conclusion without any solid evidence backing it up. I disagree with that theory because there is a strong possibility that some human-like "Nordic" alien races that may exist are actually unrelated to the Grays and unaffiliated with them. Jacobs seems to think that there are only Grays, Insectoids and Hybrids, and that ALL of them are bad.
It's a logical fallacy to think there are only bad aliens out there and that there are only Grays, Insectoids and Hybrid aliens in the universe if there are any aliens at all, when the universe could in fact be full of thousands of millions of intelligent alien races.
In fact, in a universe as big as this one, some of the extrasolar species that could exist may be just like the so-called "Nordic" Space Brothers, and be aliens that look and act just like us without having to be Gray/human hybrids. Jacobs doesn't even consider that possibility.
Another reason why I don't back Jacobs's theory is because of the unethical and unscientific methods he used to reach that theory, and because he doesn't allow for any alternative explanations (like the psychosocial hypothesis) to be explored in explaining the abduction phenomenon.

"which is a conclusion without any solid evidence backing it up."

I don't know about anyone else but I laughed so hard milk came out of my nose when I read this.

Doubting Thomas

UFO nuts arguing over the existence of specific aliens is like two Christians arguing over slightly differing religious beliefs.

What we have here is a Nazi/ Space Case hybrid.

Nordics are a type of alien, named so because they look Northern European.

Well, I have to agree that if you believe in aliens, it's a bit weird to think there's only a few kinds. Look at how many different species we have on earth. Granted, not all of them have spaceships, but still.
I've also been damaged, whenever I read the word "psychosocial", I headbang. :D

XCOM is out later this month.

"...a conclusion without any solid evidence backing it up."

There is no evidence to even suggest that we've made contact with aliens in the first place.

So, what you're saying is Commander Shepard is really Dragon-born.

This isn't all that nutty actually. Yes the guy is a UFO believer, but he's also being skeptical of the more virulent believers. Especially his statement that they 'may' exist, which shows some skepticism on his part.

Additionally, he is absolutely right about one thing, it is a statistical impossibility that we are alone in this universe, or even this galaxy or galactic arm. Now whether those civilizations have ever been HERE, I find that extremely unlikely.

Even so, this isn't conspiracy, nor is it fundy and it doesn't belong on this site.

Also @1456624, XCOM came out today, same with Dishonored.

i actually applaud this one. the premise may be flawed but the logic is sound.

this one basically sums up as: "if we don't have evidence, we can't draw conclusions."

this is to be commended, not ridiculed. it's a proto-scientific method!

There's so much consistency in these alien conspiracy theories.

There's always the Grays, the Nordics, some level of consensus.

Someone should take these conspiracy theories and make it into a scifi movie.

Psychosocial refers to the the combination of Psychology and Socialology behind certain abductions. We once thought it was demonic abductions or demons sitting on your chest, now we think it is aliens. When it's really sleep paralysis. So it's a combination of psychology and sociology.

Basically, I agree with this guy. He doesn't seem to think aliens are messing with or anything.

Just they exist and they could be anything. They could be stark raving loonies or benevolent space gods.

The reason no one backs Jacob's theory is that it's fucking crazy.
