Today, I took a female cat to be fixed. For the exact same procedures, it cost $80, plus $13 for pain meds.

You do realize that the policies of one President have an economic impact that lasts beyond their term, don't you? Just because it's costlier in Obama's term doesn't mean that Bush's disastrous mismanagement of the economy isn't one of the reasons it's more expensive now.

The Yahoo answer quoted here had those same prices as of 2007.
A Government website quotes $100.00 male, $200.00 female. If you're ascribing veterinary prices to your presidents, be sure to sincerely thank Obama.

Erm, we took our male and our female cat to be fixed at the same time.
His operation was easy, quick and not that expensive. He only needed the cone-of-shame for a day.
Her operation was much more invasive, took longer and was more expensive. She needed to wear the cone-of-shame for a week.

Thank you, God/Mother Nature, for puting male genitalia outside, while female genitalia is inside the body.

Are you fucking kidding me? There's a huge difference between fixing a male cat and a female cat, mainly because spaying a female is far more invasive.

Not only that, but prices have increased since 2003.

But it's all Obama's fault. You know he signed an executive order raising the cost of fixing cats just to piss off people on Rapture Ready.

Spaying a female animal costs more than neutering a male animal because spaying is quite a bit more complicated. It usually doesn't quite cost twice as much, though (~$125 vs ~$175 in my area based on experience), so you probably saw a different vet or the one you normally use upped their prices a bit, which has absolutely nothing to do with either Bush or Obama.

...either way, both of those prices are pretty damn cheap. You sure those procedures weren't partially subsidized? WELFARE QUEEN!!!
