Quote# 90023

"What's killing us is all these entitlements, we've got to get rid of all of them. All this welfare, food stamps, Medicare, and then big government health care on top of it, it's all just too much! When do we say enough is enough?”

What do you mean, exactly, I ask him. You say people are suffering under Obama, don't they need some help?

“No. No more help, enough is enough. People have to pick themselves up, take some responsibility. Why should we be paying for people’s mistakes and bad choices? All these illegitimate families just adding to the population, making all these bad decisions, then asking us to pay for it? It's time to cut them off."

I ask for some clarification: what do you mean, just starve them out? What if people can't find work? Let them starve?

"Look, there's always something you can do. You telling me people can't make a choice for a better life? We have to help all of them? No. I'll tell you what really need to do with these illegitimate families on welfare—give all the kids up for adoption and execute the parents."

"GOPers seem to get a sick pleasure out of causing unwanted births by denying contraception and abortion just so they can then declare the mother a welfare queen who shouldn't get any money."

To extrapolate this further... they probably want abstinence-only sex education, and pass a lwa stating that nobody must have sex unless they are married and employed, with a child-friendly level of income.

I don't say this much but DIAF. People like you are just making it harder for people who are out of work and struggling.

Though I must thank for giving me another reason NOT to vote to republican.

For all those Christian fundies that want to end all forms of welfare, let me quote a wise man;

“If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it.”

What a nice man.

Yeah. It's my own fault that some equity firm, like Romney's Bain Capital, bought my company and moved it out of state to increase their profits, laying me off.

John Waters made a film called Desperate Living about a fascist queen who decides to kill off all the poor people in her domain. I think these assholes saw that film and thought it was an instructional video....

@ VioletBeauregarde:

How much do you want to bet that this uncharitable bastard is "pro-life"

Of course he is. From his response to the cited article:

I believe executing the parents is a better solution than the Democratic solution of abortion and handing out condoms (birth control). Abortion represents the killing of the only innocent person associated with the adultery or fornication that has occurred.

" I'll tell you what really need to do with these illegitimate families on welfare—give all the kids up for adoption and execute the parents."

And where do we find the highest concentration of these poor families, with too many kids to support, and almost no job prospects? Can you say "Bible Belt"? And they are supported by which states, the "blue" ones? Uh huh. And give me your best guess if these are religious folks, no, better yet, pick a specific religion you think they might adhere to; Here's a hint - it comprises about 80% of the U.S. population. How do they vote? If you kill them all off, who's left to vote republican? Lastly, just who is it that's going to adopt all those kids? The army?

Yeah, we can't kill the poor innocent fetuses. We can totally put them through the trauma of their parents being executed for bringing them into the world, though. That won't scar them for life or anything.

"I'VE BEEN TERRIBLY MISQUOTED, says the Lord Jesus.

I **never** said this:

For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? ‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’ (Matthew 25)

Fuck no, I, Jesus, the Lord said 'kill the fucking leeches!!"

Let's just say it: Worse than Hitler. WORSE THAN HITLER. What kind of monster advocates for the genocide of his countrymen based on arbitrary economic status in public?!

I pick myself up daily. (I fall down a lot) Several strokes and no a heart bypass with congestive heart failure have left me incapable of working for 6 years. My savings are gone. I dont qualify for social security welfare or medical.

I am grateful for the foodstamps so my 80 year old mother who lives with me can eat decently. We live on her social security venefits of $500 a month.

I know who I will vote for in the next election and it wont be the rich guy who wants me dead in a gutter.

Its obscene that the "richest country in the world" cant and wont provide medical care and food to all its citizens who need it.

We pay for the bankers bad choices and they steal our houses and make it impossible to get loans so businesses have to cut jobs. Then they turn around and try to scapegoat poor people for their sins, it's nonsense. They've ruined capitalism for the rest of us while they always win. There is no choice but public welfare now for many previously working people.

So not only does the child grow up poor but now you want to kill the child's parents?!? I swear, some of you conservatives are honest to goodness super villains. And not the cool kind like Magneto but the evil-beyond-all-reason type like the ones on Captain Planet.

@J. James

Not worse, but just as bad. Hitler also chose arbitrary groups of people to kill based on his own prejudices.

@Dionysus

The holocaust killed what, 16,000,000 people? What he's proposing is probably worse. And can you imagine the horror of what he's describing? Screaming, crying, emaciated children being dragged away by the GOPstapo from their doomed parents, never to see them again? It's mortifying. And not only because I, as a poor college student, would also be murdered by such a regime.

10/10/2012 10:46:35 AM

Why give the children up for adoption when they'd make excellent free labor? We can teach them that they're inherently evil and suffering is part of life and work will set them free and save their souls so they can be with Jesus!

You know people will vote for this plan.
