Um, the Buddha preached against abortion.
Jesus never preached against abortion.

Okay, let's say that abortion IS wrong (and in most circumstances, i.e. healthy pregnancy and the parents can afford to take care of a child, I think it is) why would you need Jesus to know that it's wrong? I believe that murder is wrong and I don't even believe in a god. To me it's scary when people say that they don't know right from wrong without the Bible. What if you run into a novel situation? Then what?

But since abortion is not wrong, therefore Jesus had never been born.
The best counter to a word salad argument is to toss it right back.

"If Jesus had never been born"
...then God could have just 'poofed' himself in human form, along with all the animals, this world & all the life on it.
And for the life of me, I'll never figure out - if he's as 'omnipotent' as he claims - why this so-called 'God' couldn't have done exactly the same, re the first humans Adam & Eve - never mind himself - could he not...?!
"how would we know that abortion is wrong?"
Oh, I dunno. As exampled in Hosea 13:16 (emphasis added):
'Samaria will be held guilty, For she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword, Their little ones will be dashed in pieces,
And their pregnant women will be ripped open.'
...you tell
me.
@Mr. Bigglesworth
"So when did Jesus say anything about abortion?"
Or homosexuality, for that matter?:

Only very poor people should have abortions. Interesting concept,

Abortion is not wrong. Therefore Jesus never existed.
Thanks for disproving Christianity. :D

Because Jesus clearly stated that abortion is wrong and evil in the bible, obviously...
...or at least that's what one is led to believe from the way fundie Christians talk.

Yes, if Jesus hadn't defined that something he never knew existed was a human life, we'd never know.

The sheer ridiculousity of this quote actually made me laugh out loud.
Then I realized how sad it actually is, because we're talking about a brainwashed teenage girl who has probably never actually done much research into the Bible for herself and is just going by what everyone else tells her is in there.

If Jesus HAD been born, what would make abortion wrong?
The NT doesn't say anything about abortion.
