(In a thread about a Saudi man who killed his daughter for converting to Christianity.)
Also imagine how much faith you have to have, to kill your daughter for your God. These are human beings just like you and me with the same emotions, I would not be able to do it, but he loved his God more than his family. I think that God is smiling upon both of them right now.

To those saying a Catholic wouldn't say this: if you look, you'll see that Polaris (who made this comment) is not Catholic.
In this thread, they are arguing with everyone else. In their personal information, they don't list a religion. In other threads, they detail that they left the Catholic Church years ago and haven't joined another. They are someone angry with the Church, which is why they are presenting such a parody of faith-based thinking.
Not quite a Poe, but certainly not someone who sincerely believes the ideas they are presenting.
The more faith in a nonexistent being that you have the more psychopathic you become. If there was less faith in nonexistent beings then there would be less murder and mayhem in the world.
If in all seriousness you have complete faith that something exists when it is in fact nonexistent then you are mental, and it's likely that others will suffer the consequences of your illness.
"Also imagine how much faith you have to have, to kill your daughter for your God."
I can't. One has to be mentally ill, no matter what you fanatics prefer to call it.
"If it rants like a shithead and behaves like a shithead, it's a shithead!"
Way too poe. Site name makes it clear.
Also, conversion via force is illegal by islamic law, true at least, so the killing father disobeyed god in this case. Just sick twisted man.
um.. the man worshipped a false God , and killed a daughter that converted to the one true God. I think the one, true God is looking at the daughter maybe as a christian martyr and planning the fathers time in hell.
Please be consistant with your babble.
mattiedef,
Technically it wasn't conversion by force. Theoretically, the daughter would be committing apostasy by leaving Islam, which is punishable by death (according to Islam).
So no, that is just fine according to certain interpretations of Islam.
You, sir, have a twisted sense of humour.
Oh, wait. You were serious, aren't you.
In all fairness, this man is clearly a literal and freverant adherent of the Islamic belief which requires the death of those who leave the religion.
Honestly we should be thankful that even the more fundie types in the western nations ignore the lines in the abrahamic religions to kill non-believers and those who leave the faith or else most of us would be in trouble / dead.
As for supporting them, I find it unlikely that a christian would compliment Muslim for this kind of behavior. The most common approach is to ignore the identical passages in their own book and scream about how Islam is a violent religion of death and <add extra words here like satanism, communism, etc>
If you kill your daughter because "the voices told you to", you're institutionalised. If you kill your daughter because of the scribblings of some people millenia ago who thought they heard the voice of an imaginary god, many people will support your actions. Ho hum.
"These are human beings just like you and me with the same emotions"
