Russian authorities are investigating a milk brand after an anti-gay group accused it of promoting homosexuality to children by featuring a rainbow on its milk cartons.

The People's Council claims the label on Vesyoly Molochnik milk, owned by the multinational beverage company Pepsi Co, is in violation of St Petersburg's anti-gay propaganda law, ABC News reports.

The label features a mustachioed milkman and a prancing cow with purple spots under a rainbow.

People's Council spokesman Antoly Artukh said the label "immediately put me on alert"

"A rainbow appeared on the cartons, a world-renowned symbol of the gay movement," Mr Artukh.

Mr Artukh accused Pepsi Cola of trying to promote homosexuality to young people, saying "this is a company renowned for actively and aggressively financing and promoting homosexuality."

Yeah, God's sign to Noah meant 'Let's all be gay!'.

Possibly this is more related to anti-Americanism, though, given that appears to be Putin's schtick these days.

Whenever you see a rainbow, God is having gay sex. If you see a double rainbow, God is having a gay threeway.

Oh fuck! The gays are trying to convert us with album covers! Oh wait, maybe it's just a fucking picture of refracted light. You know, not every single thing in the world is propaganda. I know it's hard for the former Soviet Union to understand that but it's true.

I've never thought of Russia as being anti-gay, so this suprises me.

I think they should first look into LeVar Burton's leanings before going after Pepsico. Not only did his old show have a rainbow in the title and the logo but it also promoted to children such vile things as READING! Scandalous.

Not even a Russian city's legislature would dare take on the legal department of Mars, Inc. Antoly Arsefukht, when Pepsico's lawyers have done with you, you'll be screaming for the tortures of Hell, for a ten trillion-year holiday from what one of the US's biggest are capable of. >:D

PROTIP: When fake Manchester United shirts were being produced from a state-owned factory in China several years ago, Man Utd's legal team took them to court - in China. Guess who won? A clue: Man Utd's coffers were £250 million the richer, and no more fake shirts came out of that country.

Man Utd - whilst the biggest & most recognisable football team brand worldwide - aren't as big as Pepsico. And neither are you as big as China, St. Petersburg.

After what their lawyers are capable of doing, I almost pity you, Mr. ArseFukht. Almost. >:D

Either God is having hyper-gay sex, or Rainbow Dash has made DC Comics' 'The Flash' redundant. /)^3^(\

The prancing cow is a dead giveaway. Perhaps Pepsi is promoting bestiality ?

Anyway, Pepsi flavors its soda with aborted fetus, are you suggesting they ALSO promote homosexuality ?

Isnt the rainbow a sign that God will never flood the world again ?

Great, I looked that carton up on the google and now I am the gay. Darn you. Why didn't Jebuz or Superman save me from the gay-milk!?!?!?!

Just becoming gay doesn't happen from bloody magic conversions like religion.

I saw a rainbow in the sky yesterday. The sky denied it was a gay symbol, but I know better. Ban physics! It's the gayest of the sciences.

Oh man thanks Russia for actively making America look good. While the American population is pretty evenly divided on issues of LGBT rights, Russia is not with over 80% of the population viewing homosexual behavior as "unacceptable".
