Quote# 90194

Imagine the witness for God of a blaspheming loud-mouth atheist like Maher dropping dead while on national TV. Now that might get even more attention for El Elyon. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.

Leighton Buzzard

Or it could be Pat Buchanan. Now there's a happy thought.

Pule Thamex

I suppose imagining dropping dead is the opposite of imagining ascending dead via the inbuilt holy jet propulsion unit.

Living in fear is the Rapturites daily existance, afraid of everything, especially shit that's never going to happen.

10/19/2012 3:59:10 AM

Let's take bets on that happening. I'll bet you ten bucks it doesn't.

10/19/2012 4:31:16 AM

@ Leighton Buzzard

Pat Robertson would be even better.

Doubting Thomas

Funny how people who profess love for God and Jesus like to wish death upon people without even thinking twice about it.

And again, why would I want to worship a being that threatens me with death?

Pat Robertson is old, so it might just be seen as a natural occurrence. If it was VenomfangX on the other hand... it might get more attention!

Mister Spak

Imagine the witness for god of a Family Values Conservative turning out to be a child molesting gay drug user going to prison - Now that might win elections for Americans - and it did in 2006.

10/19/2012 5:58:21 AM

If nothing happens is that evidence for god's nonexistence?

10/19/2012 6:09:52 AM

So, when you get tired of imagining yourself being whisked into the clouds so you can laugh at everyone who was left behind, you find fantasizing about watching your critics just drop dead makes an refreshing change.

And yet, you insist that atheists devalue human life

10/19/2012 6:13:10 AM

And yet Bill Maher just keeps on blaspheming and he's okay. Quite a weak god you have there.

10/19/2012 6:35:49 AM

Filin De Blanc

Is this their hobby, fantasizing about the horrible deaths of comedians they don't like? God these people are pathetic. If I were God, I'd be absolutely dreading the Rapture, since it would mean having to put up with these mean-spirited jerks for all eternity.

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom."

More like the beginning of psychosis.

10/19/2012 6:56:59 AM

Fear is the end of wisdom, I'd say. If you're scared, you can't really think straight.

10/19/2012 7:00:23 AM

Except that the only people who would see that event as a witness for God would be you and five or six other mouth-breathing fundies somewhere out in the sticks.

10/19/2012 7:31:12 AM

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom."

This is actually kind of weird, Victoria Jackson blurted out the same verse when she was on the Howard Stern Show just a few days ago. Coincidence?

10/19/2012 7:44:27 AM

Buddy, I was taught that faith without knowledge was no faith at all... so Carol, fear is not the beginning of wisdom.

I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of Maher. I don't wish death upon him though like Pat Robertson because Robertson is an child enslaving, manipulative business man who's nature goes against both his book he trumps so much and what he talks about constantly. He spends more time worrying about the gheys than the fact he's going to hell for being a fucking awful person.

10/19/2012 7:46:15 AM

That's all you can do, imagine it.

The fear of a lord is the beginging of longbow practice.

10/19/2012 8:32:18 AM

Let us know when it happens, kay?

10/19/2012 8:39:33 AM

Fear makes people stupid. If you need proof just yell "he's got a gun" in a shopping mall and watch the sheeple trample each other.

10/19/2012 8:44:25 AM

I think Pat Robinson would be far more likely to just keel-over and die on screen given that he's like a million years old and fueled only by an equal combination of love of money and hatred for man.

10/19/2012 9:09:20 AM

Hasn't happened yet, so, whatever. ^^

"Imagine the witness for God of a blaspheming loud-mouth atheist like Maher dropping dead while on national TV"

Or you for that matter, Raptard? Good. One less inferior subhuman fundie in the world.

...what's that, you say? Doesn't sound very nice, eh? Well, now you & your fundie ilk know how you sound to everyone else.

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom."

Judges 1:19. The hundreds of millions of cars, lorries, buses, trains etc here on Earth. A helluva lot of Iron used in the making of the steel in these vehicles. To say nothing of what these particular ones are made of...:

...and the many thousands such as not only the above UK's Challenger IIs, your country's own M-1 Abrams, France's Leclercs, Germany's Leopard IIs, your precious Israel's Merkavas, Russia's T-90s, China's Type 99s, and North Korea's Pokpung Ho's. Then there's the little matter of not only what these modern-day Iron Chariots are made of. PROTIP: Just as, in the "Transformers" films, in which it was discovered that high-heat Magnesium saboted rounds could harm Cybertronians, who's to say that the above Iron Chariots (as well as Self-propelled Guns & other light-calibre cannons mounted on, say APCs, or even Striker & Humvee vehicles) couldn't fire saboted rounds made of Iron: God-Killers*.

The fear of HUMANS is the beginning of acknowledging your 'God' doesn't exist. It's the only possible reason why he daren't show his face round these parts these days.

'The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.'

-Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Inaugural speech)

Moral: Even if your so-called 'God' exists, your own 'Word of God' proves that Iron is not only stealth material to him (he wasn't 'omnipresent' enough to see those original Iron Chariots; nor was he 'omniscient' enough to have known of their existence in advance), but just as Kryptonite is to Superman, Iron is to your 'God' (he's not 'omnipotent' enough to have done anything about such, even if he could see them); remember: all sentient beings have an origin (even the 'Watchmaker' had to have a mother & father), thus they also have a weakness. Your 'God's is Iron. We - his 'creation' - have exploited that weakness. Therefore the Creation is now superior to the Creator.

*- In the anime series "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion", the immortal Charles zi Britannia, Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire, possessed the 'Sword of Akasha': a weapon that could destroy gods.

An anime series by Sunrise & CLAMP. The Bible. One fiction's just as good as another. Amirite, Ruptured Retards...?! >:D
