One simply wonders why the focus of this post is almost entirely focussed on Hell and punishment – in effect, the "Devil" the fundies speak of – rather than the concept of their God, of eternal life; doesn't it glorify the former with less regard to the latter? Same seems to apply for Rapture Ready as well, with its rather skewed viewpoints.

Interestingly, the 1 Corinthians 7:1-2 is the verse that says: ""It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman." But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband."
If followed consistently, wouldn't the human race die out? If sex is bad and only something you're allowed to do in marriage, but it's better if it's not done at all? So Christianity consistently followed means we all die sexually pure and go to heaven, and the human race dies out. It finishes by being extremely nihilistic.

This is just guessing based on the general tone of those 'sex is evil' things in the bible. But I think the reasoning behind not getting married wasn't that sex was evil, but that the world was ending soon anyway, so starting a family would have been wasteful.
