Militaries of all nations have had homosexuals for a long time. A high preponderance of Hitler's stormtroopers were known homosexuals. Before DADT and before homosexuality was no longer classified as a mental illness, homosexual behavior routinely resulted in discharges from the military. In conclusion, it always has been there in all military branches, even long before you were born.

The only concrete change since the repeal of DADT is that now those soldiers don't have to hide their orientation.

So why is it that every military serviceman (or woman) ever asked about the impact of homosexuals, has resoundingly stated that they don't care about anything other than whether their military brethren are up to the task of being a soldier. To this day, there has never been an iota of evidence that gay soldiers are any less effective or self-sacrificing than heterosexual soldiers.
