Romney didn't lie. This entire issue goes back to the Left's intentional misrepresentation, distortion, spin on such things as Mitt's 47% comment, and also Obama's " you didn't build that " remark. 2 specific instances where the Left absolutely inverts reality on its head, in order to trash ( or cover for ) a candidate by flipping what was said to mean the exact opposite.

I am sure that Romeny honestly believed what he said, so in that sense he did not lie. Furthermore, I believe that most if the electorate was convinced that Romney was sincere in his expressed contempt for 47% of them.

That's a large part of why he lost.
