Quote# 90363

It is improbable that the framers of the Constitution anticipated a situation in which the press were entirely given over to seditious, anti-American policies. If they had, it is likely that their modus operandi would be similar to that for any faction found guilty of high crimes. Trials for treason and the requisite sentences would apply, and I would have no qualms about seeing such sentences executed, no matter how severe.
...
Those whose speech and actions impinge upon the God-given rights set forth in the Declaration of Independence and codified in the Constitution are, by definition, excepted from protection under the First Amendment (as well as the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment). This is a very important concept to consider, because it is based on these presumptions of protected speech and equal protection for all that progressives and socialists have engaged in their predation upon our liberties.

If these truths can be acknowledged and widely accepted as such (as opposed to progressives’ Orwellian interpretations), then the political disenfranchisement of liberals, progressives, socialists and Marxists can begin in earnest, and in the open.

Right! If you can't triumph by the reason, compassion and logic of your arguments, disenfranchise those who disagree with you.

I read that a few times, and all I could think to myself was "Who is he arguing against? The socialist Press? We have those in America?" and just kept being confused.

Then I realized he's rock fucking stupid and doesn't understand what the hell he was saying.

America did pass the Sedition Act under John Adams. It was meant to try to prevent his political enemies from posting ads, even if the reason given was it was against traitors. Understandably, it was repealed under Thomas Jefferson.

All you are suggesting, sir Erik Rush, is totalitarianism by any other name. Freedom of Speech, assembly, RELIGION, and press is very important to America and its functioning. If you were to repeal the 1st amendment, you would end, what some still call, "The Great Experiment."

The problem with that is that the liberals could say exactly the same about the conservatives, and with a lot more justification. Just take out the "progressives and socialists" and replace it with "conservatives, reactionaries, racists, religious fanatics, plutocrats and profiteers".

Eric, go to your room and modus your operandi. It will relax you.

Gee it's good to know you're not planning on doing anything Orwellian to those people you plan to disenfranchise.

His suspicions of the media are well placed. The rest of it is batshit insanity however.

OK, unlike most examples described as such here, this is literal fascism.

You call allowing more freedom of speech and press "Orwellian" while exalting punishment for talking bad about the government with death. The only thing "Orwellian" about this post is your mastery of double-speak.

yes, but god was not mentioned ONCE in the constitution, so your argument goes right out the window.
