They've had 2 rather large bailouts from the EU so far... each with a "get your shit sorted out and cut the waste" condition attached. As of 2 days ago, they STILL hadn't managed to come up with a way to stop spending so much... any group that might get hit by proposed cuts goes on strike until they are guaranteed protection from cuts.
Greece is currently trying to get it sorted for another bailout payment to happen, one which would enable it to not default on it's debts just yet... and various groups are threatening strike action over just about every suggestion made.
They are not gonna sort their shit out any time soon... hopefully they won't drag the rest of the EU down with them.
