Quote# 90431

"If Cleveland gets hit real bad and people are without power, traffic lights out, public transit problems, Romney could take Ohio!!!

Obama's huge margin of victory in Cuyahoga County in 2008 was greater than the margin he won the state by! Cleveland can change the entire outcome of the state!!!"

[another poster responds]
"These states are all heavily democratic, so even a low turnout will still give these states to obama. Ohio, which is the most important swing state, should not be affected."

[out of the box replies]
"Not necessarily! [link to news report about airport delays]

Praying to God that major infrastructure in Cleveland is damaged or destroyed by Sandy, but that lives are spared."

Praying to God that major infrastructure in Cleveland is damaged or destroyed

Have you been to Cleveland? Let's just say you don't have to pray for that.

You're wishing people have to go through more problems than they already are just so a racist, homophobic idiot can win an election?

Shut the fuck up.

Gee, I thought you raptards agreed before the primaries that you wouldn't be backing Romney because he's a Mormon? Guess hating Obama is more important than sticking to your principles, huh?

At what point did Mormonism stop being a Satanic cult in these people's eyes? When a Mormon ran against a black guy?

Why don't they just rename it from "Rapture Ready" to "Rapture Republicans"?

Wow, just wow. If there's any evidence that today's Christian fundies are completely, totally, 180 degrees backwards from the true Christianity that Jesus taught, this is it. I mean, they're praying for a city to be destroyed in order for a crazy political candidate can possibly get elected.

"If Cleveland gets hit real bad and people are without power, traffic lights out, public transit problems, Romney could take Ohio!!!"

You know your candidate is a real winner when it takes a natural disaster to get them elected.

"Praying to God that major infrastructure in Cleveland is damaged or destroyed by Sandy, but that lives are spared."

Aren't you a little ball of sunshine.

If this is what Romney needs to win, he doesn't deserve to win. Not that praying will make an iota of difference, of course, but it's the thought that counts.

You're praying for major devastation so an election can be won? You, sir or madam, are evil.

The moment I heard for the first time about Sandy, I was hoping for Obama to pull a Schröder (win purely by looking better during a natural crisis), but hoping for destruction in your own country so the incubent looks bad, is a whole 'nother level of vile.

But even if Cleveland doesn't get hit real bad, the Republic party will win by election fraud.

You must not have much confidence in your candidate if you have to cheat to win. I myself, being an Obama supporter, want as many people to vote as possible under ideal conditions. Because I have enough trust in his ability to win to not want to stoop to cheating. And even if he loses, I still want it to be because of a majority of voters voting for Romney rather than it being because Obama supporters can't get to the polls. And you should want that too. That would be a strong statement for Romney (or against Obama) while not being able to vote would give you a hollow meaningless victory with no strength behind it.

Do these guys know that Mittens wants to privatize FEMA and give control over disaster relief to the states?

Despite what's happened in New York, Mayor Michael Bloomberg endorses Obama. Better pray to your so-called 'God' - 24/7 - out of your mind, that this Republican mayor backing your Nemesis doesn't influence the independent/swing voters in Ohio.

...but then, hands clasped in prayer aren't touching screens in polling booths. >:D

@Filin De Blanc

"At what point did Mormonism stop being a Satanic cult in these people's eyes?"

Three words: 'Anyone But Obama'

Nope. Like Mitt the Shit, these Repubicans maintain their political convictions; nope, like him, they don't 'flip-flop' when it's convenient for them, nosiree. [/hyper-sarcasm] Just as they'd never cherry-pick from their own 'Word of God', ignoring/relying upon certain aspects when it's inconvenient for them!

"Aaaaaannnnndddd the link doesn't work any more. Perhaps the RR admins decided the threat was too tasteless."

'No Thread specified'. Even Evil Has Standards indeed. But by Ruptured Retards' standards - considering these vile scavengers - that's not saying much, considering the thinly veiled racism exhibited by that wretched hive of scum and villainy, even around this time four years ago. Since then...! XP

Aren't we jumping the gun a little bit eh, Ruptured Retards...?! Even Usain Bolt learned from when he did so that time in South Korea, pre-2012 London Olympics. thus potentially risking his later guaranteed 100m, 200m & 4x100m relay Gold medals Two words: Joe Namath. Mod, edit thyself. [/Hubris]

Christians praying for disaster so they can cheat to win. I can remember when calling someone a Christian was a compliment.

Ordinarily, I view the American presidential elections as a choice between boiled shit and fried shit but this one, oh boy, I'm beginning to view as a choice between boiled shit and fried shit that has been sprinkled with broken glass, marinaded in cyanide and served on a landmine.
