Quote# 90512

I know it’s Halloween, but this is more terrifying than ghosts and goblins and vampires.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: If Barack Obama is re-elected Nov. 6 for a second term, he will declare a full-scale war on his domestic opposition.

There may not be another free and fair election in America.

I would expect due process to go the way of the horse and buggy.

I think he will move to shut down and destroy all independent media.

In fact, I think his biggest critics will be rounded up in the name of national security.

Last week, for instance, with little fanfare, Obama issued an executive order establishing something that sounds so innocent on the surface – but it could prove to be a vehicle for the kind of political putsch I am describing.

It establishes the “White House Homeland Security Partnership Council.”

Essentially, Obama wants to deputize “community organizers” like him to determine who represents a real threat to the republic.

If any Republican, conservative, independent journalist, pro-life activist, returning veteran, gun-rights activist, constitutionalist, Bible believer or critic of Obama thinks they will be safe in a second term under this would-be despot, they had better think again – real fast.

How dramatic. World Net Daily going the way of the horse and buggy? You won't see me complaining, but that's not exactly how it's going to happen.

As for Obama "declaring war" on his domestic opposition, excuse me? What, exactly, has he done in his entire life that would give the slightest indication he would- or could- do something so evil?

"Essentially, Obama wants to deputize “community organizers” like him to determine who represents a real threat to the republic."

*spit take* HA! Only a paranoid coward like yourself would be scared shitless of fucking community organizers. Could you possibly get any more lame?

"I know it’s Halloween, but this is more terrifying than ghosts and goblins and vampires."

I stand corrected. Hey, Christians believe in ghosts, goblins and vampires, right?

I heard this argument four years ago. If it had been true then, I wouldn't be hearing it now.

1. So...why would Obama only do all of this in his SECOND term? Wouldn't he want to do it in his first term? Why wait and risk not being voted in a second time?

2. Just because someone has a number of different beliefs to you doesn't mean they are diametrically opposed to you in EVERY way.

3. Just because someone supports/tolerates X demographic doesn't mean they ARE X demographic. Many white people support the rights of black people, but that doesn't mean they're secretly black!

4. Feel free to move countries if Obama does, in fact, win. Don't choose Canada, though, because they'll look like communists to you.

Hmm, I'd personally call this more CSTDT, though given the source the two aren't really separate.

Didn't you guys say this crap in 2008? Still waiting...

I'd ask for evidence, but I suppose your ass is sore enough already.

Most of what I would say has already been said by other commenters, so I'll just add:

Why do you assume returning veterans and constitutionalists will oppose Obama? The Republican Party hasn't exactly got a clean record on the Constitution either--and I'm betting that those who have been given government benefits for fighting (like health care) wouldn't be thrilled to find a new Republican president abolishing that care for the rest of us.

Oh, right. Because soldiers and constitutionalists are honorable, they must be conservative. Right.

Yet the Republican governors in the swing states are doing their damnedest to restrict voting.

Wasn't it Bush that restricted rights with the War Against Terrorism argument? Didn't he also do his best to ban as many poor and/or black people from voting in one or both of his elections? Shiny mirror is shiny...

With one candidate supplying the voting machines in some counties/states, is this really a free and fair election?

Billions of people around the world are holding their breaths in anticipation of this election, as the US of A has a large impact on most of the world, and many of us don't want the US to be even more right-wing than it is today. Hearing that many Americans won't even bother to vote is rather infuriating, as many of us in Europe would like to participate in the election, but we have no legal right to. Please, Americans, vote! If not for your sake; think about us who will be impacted, but have no right to speak.

I am very disapointed that he didn't do it Nov. 6 2008.

Hyperbole much?

Why would Obama wait four years for an election which he may or may not win to start doing all this dictator stuff? Once he got into office, wouldn't it have made sense to start taking over the country then and make the government suspend elections so he could be dictator for life?

We'll hear this "Obama is going to suspend elections" four years from now. I guarantee it. And the elections will continue as normal.

"I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: If Barack Obama is re-elected Nov. 6 for a second term, he will declare a full-scale war on his domestic opposition."

Weren't you people supposed to be locked up in concentration camps by now? I believe I recall that you guys also said that Christianity would have been outlawed by this point.

So, what happened?

"There may not be another free and fair election in America. I would expect due process to go the way of the horse and buggy. I think he will move to shut down and destroy all independent media. In fact, I think his biggest critics will be rounded up in the name of national security."

This endless recycling of rhetoric is fascinating. Either that or I've somehow fallen into a time warp back to the last election when you guys said the same fucking things. None of which happened.

"It establishes the 'White House Homeland Security Partnership Council.' Essentially, Obama wants to deputize “community organizers” like him to determine who represents a real threat to the republic."

I haven't read it, but given the source I'm going to assume outright that it says nothing even remotely close to that, no matter how you twist the words. In fact, you'd probably have to add entire paragraphs or completely new sections to get it to say anything approaching what you're claiming.

"If any Republican, conservative, independent journalist, pro-life activist, returning veteran, gun-rights activist, constitutionalist, Bible believer or critic of Obama thinks they will be safe in a second term under this would-be despot, they had better think again – real fast."

Again, weren't all of you guys supposed to have been rounded up and put into FEMA camps, your property confiscated, and your websites shut down by now?
