Has anyone ever stopped to consider the whole love affair with Harrry Potter could actually be a cyops /mossad operation and Rowling just might be a Manchurian candidate ? This thought has crossed my mind.

How else could an othewise welfare, single mom, churn out such fantastic tales. Where was she with her brilliant mind when she was on welfare ? Seems to me if she's so bright, she wouldn't have been in that position at all, but would have used her 'talent', to write Harry Potter a long time ago to avoid welfare.

You do realize she left her job to go on welfare so she could have the time to write her books.

"How else could an othewise welfare, single mom, churn out such fantastic tales." Talent and hard work.
"Where was she with her brilliant mind when she was on welfare ?" Working on the damn thing. Novels need time.

What would Rowling be a Manchurian Candidate for? Selling lots of books? Making a metric shitton of money? Paying lots of taxes? And what would Mossad get from that? And isn't Harry Potter being read in Israel too? Why? Why are you saying such things?

... writing Harry Potter.

What are you, a moron? Oh, a stormfronter. Obviously.

Also... a candidate.. to achieve... what exactly?

11/6/2012 5:25:01 AM

Let's start with the false assumption that her work is actually good.....

Manchurian candidate? J K Rowling for Prime Minister! ... we could do worse, actually. She seems like a nice enough lady, with her head screwed on, doesn't take any shit from anybody, hasn't run off to a tax haven, does the charity thing on a huge scale but doesn't bang on about it ... not keen on her books, mind, but Disraeli's novels were even worse.

This thought has crossed my mind.

If that's true then you need to exercise your brain a little more.

Seems to me if she's so bright, she wouldn't have been in that position at all, but would have used her 'talent', to write Harry Potter a long time ago to avoid welfare.

Maybe she didn't come up with the idea until she was on welfare? Or maybe she couldn't find a publisher for a while? It's very hard for an unknown author to get something published. But at any rate, you should be thankful that she made money and isn't on the public dole any more.

Does this person even know how the creative process works? You can't just sit down and write something that everyone will recognize as pure genius. It depends on one's experiences and how these experiences affected the writer. There are people who didn't publish anything until the second half of their lives because what they were going to write wasn't even possible until then.

Way to insult every single writer in the world. Fuck you.

There are different kinds of intelligence. Artistic intelligence – particularly the ability to tell a good story that writers have – is something that will not get you very far until you churn out a successful story. So why couldn't she have done it earlier do you ask? I'm glad you did actually.

Writing takes time. First you need an idea you think is worthy of making a book (or OK, short story) out of – and it's hard to look for those ideas. No, IMO, the best ideas are the ones that come to you out of the blue, sparked by one little word of conversation, or something you saw on television or in a dream or, hell, out of nowhere.

Then you actually have to write the damn thing.

All in all, it's hardly surprising that someone who doesn't appear to have any major talents (no offense to Rowling) other than her ability to write a good story ended up on welfare and somewhat miserable.

11/6/2012 11:28:47 AM

Did you mean psyops? Or cyclops?

Yeah, Rowling was on the dole. Too bad we don't all have a Walden Pond to retreat to. Anyway, whatever the government paid her was repaid hundreds of times over by actually getting kids to read.

11/6/2012 11:57:31 AM

Funny, she doesn't look Manchurian.

11/6/2012 11:57:50 AM

Imagine how he must feel about Vincent VanGogh.

11/6/2012 12:38:43 PM

So you're saying the Harry Potter books are either psychological warfare, a cyclops (I can't tell), that they were thought of by the Israeli intelligence agency, and Rowling is from China?

Petroleum Jerry

This must be a novel meaning of "Manchurian Candidate" that I was not previously aware of.

This thought has crossed my mind.
Clearly managing to do so without encountering any resistance en route.

11/7/2012 1:54:32 AM

I smell a stealth troll.

Also Harry Potter sux.

11/7/2012 5:55:36 AM

@nazani14: Not to mention the millions in taxes she has since paid.

I saw her on the Daily Show a few weeks ago and she called the welfare money she received the “best investment the British government ever made” (paraphrased).

11/7/2012 6:15:29 AM

"This thought has crossed my mind. "

That's because you are, medically speaking, fucking mental.

11/7/2012 9:10:18 AM

"How else could an othewise welfare, single mom, churn out such fantastic tales."

I just don't know... how 'bout talent?

"Where was she with her brilliant mind when she was on welfare ?"

Well, unlike you of course, we don't all pop out of high school into huge, world-wide success. Sometimes it takes a while.

11/7/2012 9:20:50 AM

"This thought has crossed my mind"

You have a mind? Nah I don't believe it.

11/7/2012 10:14:37 AM

Modigliani died of tuberculosis brought on by hunger and privation, and many another artist, writer, and composer of renown has done as much. If you had any talent yourself, you would soon understand this.

11/7/2012 5:53:03 PM

I think she did write the first book when she was on the dole.

11/9/2012 3:05:20 AM

Argle Bargle

I thinks he's just pissed because welfare helped somebody, and now he cant rant about people on welfare being worthless leeches.

11/9/2012 5:53:30 AM

OI! Nutter!

"This thought has crossed my mind."

Well now, that was a short trip.

11/10/2012 9:24:58 PM

She went on welfare in order to have time to write her book. It's well-known that she played the system to get even more famous.
... At least you like her books.

11/13/2012 10:22:51 AM

He's going to be pissed when he finds out she left her job and went on welfare specifically to write those stories.

And that the lessons in Harry Potter haven't always been as applicable as they are today.

Then again, this is a person on Stormfront, so obviously they don't know too much about the lessons taught in the Harry Potter books. What with the bald pale guy arguing for a pureblood race's supremacy over the rest of the world being the bad guy and all.
