Quote# 9056

HAHAHAHA....most people here do not understand what science is even revealing today.....today's science is revealing the universe has "design", in the science circles you are considered an idiot if you dont believe in some higher power. It is just people who dont want to let go of "Darwin" and his overrated research.

Are science circles anything like crop circles?

1/15/2006 10:29:12 AM

To quote mythbusters: \"I reject your reality and substitute my own!\"

1/15/2006 11:32:27 AM

I wonder what DLott's qualification to speak on the subject is.
Judging from the fact that he seems to think that Darwin's research is antithetical to belief in a higher power, and that all scientists would be qualified to speak on the validity of said research, I'm going to guess he doesn't have any.

1/15/2006 11:55:10 AM

I think he just watched the Kirk Cameron video.

1/15/2006 1:05:45 PM

I think he's one of Dembski's sycophants in disguise.

1/15/2006 1:57:51 PM

Only 'the science circles'? Not in 'any science circle'? That sounds vaguely like he might mean \"Only in the science circles that support intelligent design, but they're all that matter.\"
Or is that just me looking too far into wording?

<<< today's science is revealing the universe has \"design\" >>>

I call bullshit. That's an inherently untestable hypothesis and thus outside the scope of science entirely.

<<< in the science circles you are considered an idiot if you dont believe in some higher power. >>>

That must be why a higher percentage of scientists than any other profession are atheists.

There is so much wrong with this, I don't even know where to begin

1/15/2006 9:17:23 PM

Darth Wang

How much do you want to bet this guy's not a scientist, and has never even talked to one?

1/16/2006 1:09:15 AM

Darth, I'll be in that bet, and I'll further add that this guy is under the age of 16.

1/16/2006 9:03:45 PM

Nope. He's male, 21 and from Alabammy!

I'm guessing he thinks a scientist is the one in the family with opposable thumbs that knows how to open a milk carton.

Who puts a guy's name in quotes?

1/16/2006 11:41:07 PM

DLott may laugh... I weep for his ignorance.

1/17/2006 11:18:28 AM

Yeah man, research is -so- overrated! I prefer my blind faith!

1/22/2006 1:09:53 PM

As someone who is actually in 'science circles,' I can assure you that that is not the case. No one cares whether you believe in God or not. I don't know anyone who believes in ID, but it's generally ridiculed.

Should have stopped at the HAHAHAHA.

"Design" in such things as Spiral Galaxies being the most common formation of such massive matter being collected due to physical forces of Gravity and Energy distribution.

Scientists are by no means crediting a creator deity when they suggest such design. This is why Creationists tried to steal the word for themselves, it was commonly being used by science to explain natural processes

Funny, because I spend most of my time in the science circles, being involved in Biology research and all, and I haven't seen any of this.

"HAHAHAHA....most people here do not understand what science is even revealing today"

Including you, obviously.

10/6/2014 8:36:59 PM

I guess if you only believe in smaller powers than lets say 2, you probably are considered an idiot.

10/8/2014 12:15:32 AM

rubber chicken

A science circle sounds like a bunch of people in white coats sitting around, mixing chemicals, dissecting animals and firing lasers. All while drinking tea, eating small cakes and gossiping furiously.

10/8/2014 1:25:30 AM

Typical idiocy from a person who has no clue of what goes on in the 'scientific circles' whatsoever.

10/8/2014 1:30:00 AM

I'd say that stupid is as stupid speaks, Lottie.
There are more scientists called Steve (in some version or other) than there are creationist scientists, silly.

I know! Just like people don't want to let go of "Carl Benz" and his overrated invention.
We have moved quite far from both Mr. Darwin and Herr Benz, but their research/invention is still there, at the basis of it all.
