Yes and no. The ultra liberals on the far, far left are a small group, however, conservatives seem to think that anyone to the left of Rush Limbaugh is an ultra liberal extremist.
And again with the thinking by conservatives that most people agree with them. Get out and talk to people all over the country and actually listen to what they say instead of writing off their views as evil, atheistic, and liberal nonsense.
This is why the Republicans have lost the election. Not just Romney, but also Todd Aiken and Richard Mourdock. They've insulated themselves from moderates and liberals so much that they think it's perfectly fine to say things like "rape is a gift from God." And this is why they'll continue to lose elections in the future. Until they tell the evangelical Christians in their party to F off and stop pandering to them, they'll never appeal to the mainstream centrist public.

Ah, yes, if you are not currently employed, you're a loser. Never mind that you may have held a good job but been laid off when the economy tanked thanks to the Bush administration's lax oversight of Wall Street, or that you might have graduated college but been unable to find any work in said poor economy. I don't doubt that there were slackers among the OWS group, but it sure wasn't just them in lower Manhattan.
I have found that lack of inteligence, loss of motivation, hopelessness, and lack of Godly faith can create a very easily manipulated and excitable people group.
