51 years hardly qualifies a guy as a "boy". It's middle-age, a year past the half-century mark. He may have some boyish good-looks, great health & attractiveness but he's not a kid.

(Yes, fellow posters, I know it's a slur, but work with me, here...)

Really, it's apparently physically impossible for NeoCon/bigot-types to say the man's name & title properly!

It's OBAMA

He's THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

He's THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF

He lives in THE WHITE HOUSE

His wife, Michelle is THE FIRST LADY

It's NOT, "Obummer", "Obongo", "BO", "O'nigger", "Osama", "Obamination", "The Antichrist" or whatever.

It's NOT "That interloper/impostor/darkie/etc. in the White House", "The Antichrist", "Obamination", etc.

It's NOT "Boy/Nigger/Darkie/Kenyan/Muslim/Lizard Weirdo/etc. In Chief".

It's NOT "The White Hut".

It's NOT "The First Ho"

....and I highly doubt their dog is a hellbeast named Zuul.


(I admit, though, we Progressives do the same thing, so maybe I shouldn't complain. At least our silly insult-nicknames are seldomly ethnicist in nature)

Maybe it's because Obama actually did something to help after Hurricane Sandy, unlike Bush after Katrina?

And maybe the press knows Obama isn't a royal fuckup like Bush.

Also, what UHM said. Chris Christie. A REPUBLICAN governor. Said Obama was doing a good job.

The same reason historians put more of the blame for the Great Depression on President Herbert Hoover than on FDR; which is also the same reason there are several signs of the times from the Great Depression given a "Hoover [insert noun]" moniker (like "Hoovervilles", "Hoover flags", etc.) instead of an "FDR [insert noun]" moniker - because Obama handled Hurricane Sandy better than Bush handled Hurricane Katrina. Just like FDR handled the Great Depression better than Hoover handled the Great Depression.

Maybe Jimbo here does not understand the principle to critic people for the things they are doing (or not doing) and not just critizing them because they belong to the "other party", regardless if they are doing a good job or not.

Because, unlike the shrub, President Obama reacted swiftly and admirably to minimize the damage caused by the hurricane. "Boy-in-chief" is a far more fitting title for Bush anyway, since he acted like a doddering child throughout both terms.

Because Obama actually appointed someone competent as head of FEMA and reacted swiftly to Sandy instead of appointing someone who was unqualified and sitting on his hands like Bush?

BTW, don't read the comments unless you want your blood pressure to spike. Those racist assholes think people should have to pay for their own disaster relief supplies and are advocating profiteering on gas.

because bush sat on his hands for a few weeks while katrina, formed, hit, and subsided. thousands died, or lost everything.

obama mobilized relief efforts to deal with sandy BEFORE it hit.
