AND, because their belief system is in actuality, a religion, they have unending, multi-generational PATIENCE. Stalin, Kruschev, Mao and a whole host of others are dead and gone, but their religion grinds on and has achieved a MAJOR victory tonight.
This result is not due to this past year’s activities - it was set in motion back in the 50s, became a sophisticated underground war in the 60s and 70s and moved into the education system in the 70s and 80s. We are now seeing the US Society being controlled by the first generation that has been indoctrinated by those guys and it will only get worse from here on out.
Perhaps mankind REALLY is unworthy of the long term benefits of the country that was America.

Assuming you're talking about the election, I thought Obama was a Muslim, not an atheist? Oh right, he's one of those atheist Muslims.
If Stalin, Kruschev, Mao, etc, were alive, they would look at Obama and see him for exactly what he is; a bourgeois centrist politician, whose electoral campaign was supported by some of the wealthiest people in the world.
And as for the 60s, etc, what that represented was much-needed change in America. If not for that, then you'd still be living in a segregated, sexually repressed, hypocritical, conformist society in which large swathes of people felt oppressed and miserable.

It's true, an entire generation has grown up hearing hard right historical revisionism since the Reagan years.
I'm a Liberal and guys like Stalin & Mao make me barf.
Also, America is becoming EVEN MORE American.
You Freepers wouldn't know "American" if it whacked you in the face with a large fish!
Even Jesus thinks you're all a pile of manure!

I'm probably going to piss off a few Libs here too, but with the exception of two World Wars, the first man on the moon and Star Trek, what has your country ever delivered that wouldn't have been achieved otherwise?
The rather benign "spread of democracy" never really seemed to matter in practice, and througout it's history the United States supported horrific dictatorships and still does - the number of which is as high as several dozen. Archievements in sciences and technologies are pretty much what they are and somebody else would have at some point come up with them. Maybe you are talking about funding jihadists when it suited yourself and now acting like that never happend. Maybe it's just your overblown "chosen ones" narrative that all Americans of all political ideologies seem to be spouting from the rooftops at all possible chances, no matter if the sun is shining for all of 5 minutes or if you actually achieved something.
Well, the socio-economic recovery from WW2 in the form of the marshal plan is probably one of the larger effects America had. By doing what? Dumping money into countries, some former enemies. Why? Because they were practicing demand side economic policy. You know what happened? They bought metric tons of American Goods and helped spur the globalized economy, as well as push America into being the largest economy in the industrialized world. I'd say what America did after WW2 was far more noble than anything during the war. It turned around and dumped a bunch of money into both allies and former foes (Japan and Germany received quite a bit of money).
Wait a second, handouts and demand side economics helped America in the long run? Without turning into Socialism? In fact helped COMBAT communism? What is this? It's called history, darlings.
Until America remembers its demand side economics works and supply side don't, we (As in myself and other Americans) aren't providing benefits to anyone and just cutting our own wrists.
@Mattiedef: And I'm willing to bet that the reactionaries got entranced by the halo America gained from revitalizing the world economy. Going so far as to believe that THIS proved the nature of the "natural aristocracy" of nations--America at the top, then and forever.
I don't think they're opposed to the concept of elites per se, but rather to how the elites are currently defined--an artificial aristocracy, rather than a natural aristocracy. If people like Murray Rothbard (q.v. his Iron Law of Oligarchy) are anything to go by, they think egalitarianism and its ilk are impossible. There will always be a divide between barons and peasants; the important thing, to the reactionaries, is to ensure they never get swapped, whether by mistake or by design.
sophisticated underground war in the 60s
Oh boy, just wait until this clown finds out that his favorite song, Moon River , is from the indocrinated communist movie Breakfast at Tiffany's and not from Perry Como.
I dare say the little you know of communism is what you learned in the 50s or 60s, that you should be afraid of it. Wake up and smell today's coffee. Communism as a political system is all but dead. While there are countries which call themselves communist, most of them are a far cry from those of the 60s. China is kicking our butts in capitalism, not communism.
Perhaps you are unworthy of America. I recommend you jump off a tall bridge.

To be fair, that scenario is exactly what Freepers want.
Yes, yes! The evil religion of Communism has clearly infiltrated every aspect of American society.
This is no relation at all to the religion of Christianity, which is totally different in the way it's infiltrated every aspect of American society....
Actually, what we're now seeing, in our economy and the state of the middle class, wages, home prices, etc., etc., is the outcome of thirty-plus years of so-called "conservative" policy--the 'Reagan Revolution".
Middle class wages have been stagnant since 1978. Union membership has gone from 30% to 6%. Health care and health insurance is unaffordable for millions. All while income for the top fraction of one percent continues to grow exponentially. You're right. Unless we can stop it by taking Republicans out of power, it will only get worse from here on out.
What fucking long term benefits? Don't get me wrong, I think U.S is pretty Ok, apart from bombing defenseless countries to ashes every couple of years, but "Mankind is unworthy of us"? I mean REALLY??
Actually, UHM said it better.I'm not blind to the great things your country has achieved, but sometimes you guys really do get high on the smell of your own piss.
"Perhaps mankind REALLY is unworthy of the long term benefits of the country that was America."
Don't worry. I'm sure the 96% of mankind that isn't American will get over it, impossible as that may sound right now.
Confused?
