Do you actually have even the faintest idea what liertarianism is, Eric? Because I'm convinced you don't. You most certainly don't have any grasp of the subtleties of the word's meaning in various places and contexts. For starters, a libertarian simply cannot support the GOP's platform: it is economically restrictive in favour of the rich and socially conservative to the extreme. I don't see libertarians as idolising Obama, but they certainly have other pertinent concerns.
@Arctic Knight: Actually, there are (or at least were) some communist Nazis. Part of Eastern Europe's absolute lunatic fringe of the lunatic fringe, they called themselves the National Bolsheviks . I seriously hope you're correct. Unfortunately, I still see a lot of religion in government what with Congress still opening every session with a prayer, the IRS is very lax in enforcing tax-exempt rules on churches and basically allowing them to preach politics from the pulpit, we still have "In God We Trust" on our money, and kids are still forced to say "under God" in schools. We still don't have universal health care even though many other countries are doing it well, because we have so many conservative idiots saying, "We can't do what those damn socialist European countries are doing!"
But if the country really is going to get as bad as you say, you can always leave.
BTW, I'm a Libertarian, and I'm extremely pleased with the election results (though I'd liked to see the Democrats regain control of the House). But of course I'm a moderate Libertarian, not one of those ultra-conservative libertarians who think that the government shouldn't have any control over them whatsoever.
I just have to say, though, that I love how conservatives have gone into total panic mode over the election. I just wonder if sales of guns & ammo are going through the roof like they did when Obama first got elected.
