All this doom-mongering, pessimistic, apocalyptic stuff is equivalent to this: "Hey little Tommy, if you don't do as I say and go to sleep the boogeyman will come and get you. I don't know when he's going to come and I can't control him. All I know is he kills disobedient little boys and he could come at any minute. But, don't worry, Tommy, because you're a GOOD little boy, right? You always do what you're told, right?"
That's EXACTLY what Glenn Beck is like.

Seriously? Barack Obama, angry?
The dude manages to mantain perfectly calm and clear delivery in even the most tense of moments. I seriously admire that in him.

How is this different from what Glenn Beck's been saying every day for years? I've heard more "last calls" from snake-oil salesmen like him than I have from airline clerks in airports.

Mitt Romney isn't angry? What about the whole "fucking people who don't pay income tax wanting to have food and shelter and stuff"?

China's been around for how long now? And never, to my knowledge, been a Christian country. How do you explain them?

When you watch Barack Obama, you can just see he is angry. When you watch Mitt Romney, you can see he is not.
That's funny. I don't think I've seen Obama all the angry any time I watched him. But I did feel apalled by Romney's composure. I had somehow imagined he would look nicer and more approachable.
And of course this is coming from a radio host who's always frothing at the mouth over conspiracies that exist only in his mind.

Well, I agree that when I look at Mitt Romney I don't see an angry man. I see a clueless elitist, but he doesn't seem angry.
But Obama? He doesn't look angry. He looks calm. Calm is good.

If the "righteous" are the greedy, money grubbing, power hungry, theocracy craving Republicans, then we're not doing enough to drive them from the country. Our downfall would be to allow them total power.
And I don't think that Barak Obama is nearly as angry as all the conservatives who are still pissed off that he won reelection.

If you mean biblical world view as in staring through a bible at history, you clearly cannot see anything because books are not good reading glasses.
If you mean the only history you've read is from the Bible, you're a god damn idiot.
If you mean viewing history through a theological viewpoint and focusing on the changes, differences, and affects of religion... that actually could be interesting. But since each culture defines its righteous differently, saying that is completely nutters from a true student of history.

There's no such thing as a biblical world view. It's the collected mythology of the bronze age inhabitants of a small part of the Middle East who had no idea that there was a world beyond the horizon. Rather like fundies see America.

"If you look at history through a biblical world view, the last step before a nation is completely destroyed is they drive the righteous from among them."
Just what the fuck is a "biblical world view" supposed to mean? Is this similar to the local fundy radio nut that does his news & politics segment "from a Christian perspective"?
Why not just call it what it is: bigotry hiding behind religion to escape criticism.
And one more question, Glenn. What would a Satan-inspired heretic like you, a Mormon, know about a "biblical world view" anyway?

It seems you have an altered perception of reality. Obama is hardly ever angry, and Romney just seems like a robot. If anyone's nasty and divisive, it's you and your fellow fear-mongering right-wing demagogues. I think that you are either lacking in self-awareness, or you're just a terrible liar.

I believe in the American people as well, and the fact that they voted to re-elect Obama establishes we're not too far gone yet.

hehehe... "gleng" hehehe...
ok, beratin' time:
"If you look at history through a biblical world view,"
if...
"the last step before a nation is completely destroyed is they drive the righteous from among them."
define: nation, destroyed, righteous
"If this isn’t a sign of a group of people that will drive the righteous from among them,"
if again, righteous again
"and that’s the last step before God’s wrath comes, I fear for our country and it is - it cannot be overstated, it cannot be called paranoid ... If you are a God-fearing person, hear me. Last call, America. Last call. Because the righteous will be driven from among them."
which god? what wrath? "our" country? what, jesusland? that heretic hellhole? righteous again, too
"They are nasty, divisive and, I'm sorry, but there is no way to describe that quote from Valerie Jarrett other than evil. Warning: Saul Alinsky is just the beginning of these people."
shiny mirror, regular people don't wanna secede. Who? define evil, who again, "these people"?
"But I believe in the American people. I believe that we are not too far gone. I believe that people can watch and see the difference. They can feel the difference."
aren't we all humans? what differences?

part 2:
"When you watch Barack Obama, you can just see he is angry. When you watch Mitt Romney, you can see he is not. We are not an angry nation. We don’t listen to demagogues like that."
goddamit already! just admit you don't like him cos he's black and moderate! mittens is sad now, yes you guys are (evenespecially post cold war), and dude, you speak to people who listen, you ARE a demagogue!
"It doesn’t work. No matter how much power he has amassed, no matter how many friends in the media he has, Americans know. And if they reject it this time, if they’re so dead inside - that’s a possibility - if they’re so dead inside that they can no longer see the difference between good and evil, we have to be destroyed because we will be a remarkable evil on this planet."
obviously, because you're telling lies. why dead inside? define good and evil, define "we": only thing that should be destroyed is the fundy mindset. oh, and about half the world thinks you're a laughingstock (USA), a quarter wants to actively destroy you. what's left either doesn't care, considers you allies, or business partners.
why do you hate your country so much, mr. beck?
