[Re President Obama]
Hmmmm. This all is kind of sounding like another guy everyone thought was so super great that they followed him blindly without question. Who tried to conceal his Jewish roots by entering Austria and chasing down his Birth Certificate. Who held political rallies in Berlin, Germany and stadiums. Who gets his real family identity and his Jewish name Schickelgruber buried in the media. Can you say Adolf Hilter?

No I can't say Adolf Hitler
I have no idea who the fuck you are talking about... I though people proved that no-one in his direct family was Jewish, Nazi or not. As for his real name...
[CITATION NEEDED]
The only thing that makes sense is him holding political rallies, but this isn't a point
Yeah I read this in the original thread and sorted it as "too stupid to even commit" (is commit even the right word here?).
Let's refute some of the obvious factual mistakes:
1. Germans didn't follow Hitler blindly, but pragmatically. Very clearly reasonable because certain "crimes against humanity" were kept secret and were only known to the most radical elements. And don't forget the small resistance.
2. Hitler only ever reentered Austria afted Austria was annexed by him, by which time he was German citizen.
3. The claim Hitler had Jewish ancestory has been thouroughly debunked by Historians, as there was no Leopold Frankenberger (the alleged grandfather of Adolf Hitler) to be found in the baptismal register of the city of Graz, were Hitler's mother was supposed to have been impregnated after that theory.
4. Most politicians on the national stage in Germany have held rallies in Berlin. That's about as groundbreaking as holding a rally in Washington, D.C., Paris or London. Lots of politicians have held rallies in stadiums.
5. Schickelgruber may sound Jewish to you, but it really just is a German name. You only think it's Jewish, because so many American Jews simply came from Germany, Austria and what was than German speaking states.
6. I can say Adolf Hitler, I can also say Schickelgruber. Probably without a redneck accent.
His paternal grandfather was illegitimate, so who knows?
Is there truth to the Schickelgruber story, or is it just urban legend? I know there are some war time cartoons that refer to him by that name, so it's nothing new.
Adolf Hilter? I can't say that I've ever heard of him.
I can think of someone whom everyone thinks is so 'super great' that they follow him blindly without question, and he doesn't exist either.
I wonder if Mr Hilter and Mr Juses are related?
So what if Obama is related to Hitler(Hilter)? What would that change? My four grandfathers could be Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot and Mao and it would still have absolutely zero bearing on who I am- well, aside from being part Asian, I guess.
Now, Hilter was a name used in a Monty Python sketch. So, amusing Poe, or massive dimwit? Though I don't really understand why holding a political rally in a stadium is necessarily a bad thing. Mitt Romney is related to the owner of Romney Stadium in Utah. And to say that Obama gave "political rallies" in Berlin and Germany is stretching the truth wafer thin. He gave speeches around Europe, which Romney was all scheduled to do, until he started worrying that he might not command the same crowds that Obama did, and pulled out. Also, I'm not entirely sure that Obama ever entered Austria to "chasing (sic) his birth certificate".
The Schicklgruber story comes from the fact that his father, Alois, was the illegitimate son of one Maria Schicklgruber. She later married a Johann Hiedler, who later changed the spelling to Hitler. The alleged Jewish heritage of Alois was brought up during the Nurenberg trials by Hans Frank, who claimed that Alois was actually fathered by a member of a Jewish family for whom Maria worked as a housekeeper, but there is no reason to believe it.
I can say bullshit.
Hitler had no Jewish ancestry. Even if rumours of this are to be believed, jewish heritage isn't traced through the male line, and we know Hitler's mother was a german Austrian.
There was no need for Hitler to enter Austria and mess with a birth certificate because he was born there, joined the German army and did not return to Austria until he was entrenched as Germany's dictator. It wouldn't serve any purpose either because he had already acquired German citizenship fighting for and living in Germany.
Hitler's identity and his father's original family name aren't secret. They were changed to Hiedler when Alois' mother married and her son adopted the name because 'hovel denizen' sounded like an upgrade from 'shit shoveler'.
"This all is kind of sounding like another guy everyone thought was so super great that they followed him blindly without question. "
Now, now, don't you think that comparing Obama to Jesus is a bit of a stretch?
"Who held political rallies in Berlin, Germany and stadiums."
Ronald Reagan's were pretty memorable...
Is SDAS trying to suggest the President is Jewish?
I can say it. In fact, I can say alot of things: Pickles, churro, neopoliton, sprinkles, sesquipadalion, hippopottmonstrosquipadaliophobia. Doesn't make what you say any less stupid though.
Johann Nepomuk Hitler also deposed that he was the natural father of Alois, making the Schicklgruber thing kind of irrelevant.
The entering Austria to mess with his birth certificate is a garbling of the story that one of the first things Hitler did after the Anschluss was to start a search for his Austrian army records, the reason being that a) he had decamped to Munich to avoid the draft and b) once they caught up with him the Austrian army rejected him as unfit. Such were the intricacies of Austro-Hungarian bureaucracy that the records didn't turn up until the 1950s.
Oh, lord. You know I've got a shit load of German names in my family tree, and there's not a shred of proof any of them were Jews. They were all presumably Catholic, or Protestant. Dumbass.
Who gets his real family identity and his Jewish name
Any historian worth his salt will tell you that Hitler was not only a Jew, he was also among the top figures in the anti-Nazi opposition and an active member of the French Réstistance who championed Bolshevik ideology and racial tolerance.
[/irony] (<-- for the dumb among us)
Btw, Hitler's father didn't assume the name Schickelgruber until Hitler was ten years old, and he did so for a bogus post factum claim to legitimacy. I know, historical facts are a bitch, but who said live was easy?
Hitler's extended family was a shambles, but so is just about everybody elses, so what's new?
How's your family?
The whole thing about Jewish heritage being passed through the mother is simply traditional. It dates back before DNA testing, back when people said "Well, we KNOW who the mother is. She SAYS the father is this one guy but...." Genetically speaking, the person would still be racially Jewish if it was through the father's side.
Hmmm this is all kind of sounding like the same lame Godwin's law crap that we hear every single day.
Come on conservatives, get new material already.
You would so vote for a Hitlarian canidate and if your a Southern Republican you probably have already.
At this very time, after the Romney defeat, many Republican heads are bemoaning the end of the white conservative establishment of the past, they're all choked up over the multi-cultural, liberal or secular dynamics of their country.
Might as well be calling for racial-religious purity straight out like Hitler did.
@J. James
My four grandfathers could be Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot and Mao and it would still have absolutely zero bearing on who I am
I'm pretty sure if you had a pedigree like that, you'd be legally obligated to try at least a little world domination.
Nazis outlawed abortion. You want to outlaw abortion.
Nazis put gays in prison. You want to put gays in prison.
Nazis outlawed teaching evolution. You want to outlaw teaching evolution
Can you say George Bush?

"So now Obama is Jewish? And that's a bad thing?"
Therefore, on the basis of SoUneducatedAndScared's logic...:

...Monty Python's Michael Palin is a Sikh ?!
A word in your shell-like, SoUneducatedAndScared: The Sikhs welcome with open arms anyone - regardless of beliefs (Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, or, like Mr. Palin, Agnostic ) - to their Holy of Holies, the Golden Temple of Amritsar; as long as they don't wear footwear, and cover their heads (hell, they even give visitors a free meal afterwards!). In the same way, Jews let anyone approach (a certain section of) their Holy of Holies in Jerusalem, the Western Wall. As long as their heads are covered (even, say, a baseball cap; that's acceptable to them). They even provide temporary Yarmulkes for those Gentiles without headgear.
The more you know.
"This all is kind of sounding like another guy everyone thought was so super great that they followed him blindly without question"
So any televangelist who swears on the Bible? Or cult leader? Actually, those aren't too far off from one another.
"Shickelgruber" is almost certainly not a real German name, as it sounds like an anglicized debasement of "sheckel" and "grubber", implying the stereotypical picture of a money-grubbing Jew. If that really is a German word, it probably would have been used as a slur against Jews.
> Who tried to conceal his Jewish roots by entering Austria and chasing down his Birth Certificate.
Hitler was most certainly not Jewish. He had vast amounts of research done (he was afraid that he might actually be a Jew), but it turned up nothing.
As for the remark about people blindly following others, I can also say "Mitt Romney", who got 47% (ouch!) of the popular vote, despite being an incompetent spoiled rich brat who can't relate with the majority of his voters.
Confused?
