How can knowledge be egregious? Shouldn't the lack of knowledge be egregious. Egregious means conspicuously bad or offensive. I don't see how egregious knowledge makes any sense.

IIRC, the Mormons hold that it was the Son, not the Father, who handled the daytoday management of the creation of our world. Maybe he is one?

According to the OED, \"egregious\" can also mean \"remarkably good\". It's an archaic meaning, but the only one that makes sense here. A wonderful Freudian slip there, I feel.
