To be fair, Filin De Blanc, the former VP candidate's comment was taken slightly out of context.
He didn't actually mean that rape was justified; what he was trying to argue was that if rape made you pregnant, you should still carry the baby to term because even though it was by force, a baby has still been conceived.
Now, that sounds pretty jerkish IN context, but it wasn't quite what it was made out to be.

How does it degrade them? By providing health services they could not otherwise receive? I wish I knew where that funding graph for Planned Parenthood was, with only a small portion going towards contraceptives and a tiny amount to abortions.
Catholics, at least those I met, also oppose Death Penalty and have (Or should be) fighting to bring it down. So they aren't exactly your allies either.

Also, by the Catholics being "brave warriors" do you mean "judgmental, self-righteous hypocrites who harass all women going into the clinic, some of whom are making an already difficult decision and others who aren't even there for anything related to abortion"? That, although more wordy than necessary, would be far more accurate.
