Fetuses are not babies. A puppy set on fire would get more sympathy because it actually has an awareness of the world around it and is quite capable of feeling pain, unlike a fetus. We already have plenty of children, including many who grow up in orphanages, unwanted. Aborting during a case of rape isn't about punishing the "child" (fetus!) for the father's crimes, it's about not forcing a woman to carry a pregnancy that she doesn't want from a traumatic event.

I like how she pretends all those aborted pregnancies were happy and healthy. Like no one ever had an abortion for things like severe genetic deformities that would have just killed the baby after birth anyway.
Besides there are plenty of adoptable children in the US, it's just that people like you enjoy taking perfectly good families from them because they don't match your cultural ideal. My own state has taken gay families out of the pool of prospective caregivers for children and I am *ashamed* of that.

There are enough children for adoption (and then some), the problem is, adoptive parents are kind picky and most of them want white babies, not some black or hispanic 9 year old with problems due to growing up in a violent environment.
Why is it that foster homes are filled with troubles (or not so troubled) school age kids and teenagers? The adoption process in the US is lengthy and difficult. Couples are vetted more heavily than presidential candidates, as they should, since we give kids into their care.
This is the reason many people adopt from foreign countries. Estern European countries are especially popular because of - yep, you guessed it - white kids!

How about adopting some older kids asshole, there's so many of them that they usually age out of the system. Adopt an older kid or one with health problems if you want to do some real good. Babies are high in demand because everyone wants a white, healthy baby and no one wants to adopt an older kid or one that might require a little extra attention or money.
so fuck you. if you want to adopt then try learning something about how the foster care system works first. in fact forget it you shouldn't be allowed to have kids anyway.
what about the rape victim being victimized a second time by being forced into sexual slavery and torture in carrying her rapist's baby, is she not an "innocent one"?

The problem with adoption isn't that there aren't enough babies, the problem is that there aren't enough families willing to take in these children and there's not enough oversight to protect the children in the event of neglect or abuse. Abortion has nothing to do with adoption's disadvantages.

Roe v wade was a Supreme Court decision. The President - Obama or anyone else - has no say in the matter. Most fetuses have no brains or anything else. They're clumps of undifferentiated cell.
