In other words, Pat is a false prophet.
I seem to remember the OT had some advice about what to do with false prophets...
Not advocating violence, you understand, I just think he should be held to the same standards he espouses for the rest of Christendom

Well, with only two candidates you had a 50:50 chance of getting the right result, so if you still get it wrong when Gawd gives you a hint, an intelligent being might consider whether they have ever truly heard from Gawd. But not you. No you back-track and claim to have missed what he was saying. Hmmm...

There are only three options here:
1) Pat was lying about ever having a vision.
2) Pat was lying about the content of his vision.
3) God was fucking with him.

...a lot of practice 'missing it', you mean. At least you're true to the bible; it has 'missed' a lot of predictions too.

How could you misunderstand that God was less than pleased with Mr Obama, when he was obviously very pleased with him and wanted him for a second term in office? It's the exact opposite of what you implied in January, stupid.
I bet it was the Obama-care that changed God's mind, and made him support Obama, right?

"I’ve had a lot of practice.”
You've had 50 years of practice, which is why you're so good at it.

"According to Right Wing Watch, Robertson recanted on Wednesday, responding to a viewer question about his false prediction, saying he 'missed' God’s message about the election result."
You "missed" a message sent from your omnipotent god? Maybe he should have left a message.
"Thank you for calling. Pat Robertson is currently out of his mind at the moment, but if you would please leave a message he'll be sure to blather it all over TV to his gullible viewers. *beep*"
"So many of us miss God, I won’t get into great detail about elections but I sure did miss it, I thought I heard from God, I thought I had heard clearly from God, what happened? What intervenes? Why?"
This is what happens when you combine religious delusion, senility, and outright insanity. You think you got a message from god, but forgot what exactly it was about.
"You ask God, how did I miss it? Well, we all do and I’ve had a lot of practice."
Practice at being an idiot, but practice none the less.

Yeah, God was so pissed off at Obama's performance that he's giving him a second term.
You know as well as I do that had Romney won, Robertson would be out there shouting from his pulpit "See? God told me that Obama would lose."
I think Robertson is just another conservative fundie who actually thought that everyone else in the country hated Obama as much as he does and was going to vote him out of office. I think just about every fundie conservative I talked to thought so. That's why they were so genuinely surprised that Obama won, even though all the polls showed him winning. Of course they always trotted out the "I don't believe in polls" which everyone always says when it looks like their candidate isn't going to win. Surrounding yourself with conservative talk radio and Fox News and keeping your head in the sand by ignoring news you don't agree with is not the way to be well-informed.

“So many of us miss God, I won’t get into great detail about elections but I sure did miss it, I thought I heard from God, I thought I had heard clearly from God, what happened? What intervenes? Why?” Robertson said. “You ask God, how did I miss it? Well, we all do and I’ve had a lot of practice.”
Well, if your god does express himself as clearly as you do, it is not surprising you misunderstood him.
Seriously, this is just rambling, isn’t it?

One of three things occurred with Pat here.
1. He doesn't understand the same language as his god.
2. His god is an extreme practical joker.
3. Pat is delusional.

"So many of us miss God"
Therefore you're admitting - albeit subconsciously - that you either realise that your 'God' has gone and you miss him, or the penny's finally dropping; what we Atheists have been saying all along: your so-called 'God' doesn't exist.
Very telling, Patty-boy. Through the mental fug of senility, one shining epiphanic thought has blasted through that one-dimensional mind of yours.
With practice, you'll hopefully do a Jonathan Edwards, and - like him - rend the veil of real lies that is religious 'faith'.

Gee, Pat, you've just admitted you've often misheard, misunderstood or misstated messages you've heard from God. Please explain why we shouldn't think anything you say in the future is just more of the same.
