Quote# 90991

moral relativism and liberal pretzel logic.

only 50-60 years ago, nuclear family great, kids were a normal outcome of sex, perverts were jailed, animals were pets or on your plate by God’s grace. if you wanted to fool around you paid for your own birth control b/c it was your responsibility for exercising that liberty. and this wasn’t consider just christian thinking, it was inherent common sense for most people across all demographics.

since then the secular experts have abandoned God, and are’going it alone. and the best they come up with is gay parents are better in part b/c no kids, dads aren’t needed anymore, whatever you do if you care about the earth and the rest of us, don’t have kids, and don’t eat animals, but you can screw them. save the planet, abort your baby is their battle cry. and we expect the rest of you to pay for our abortions and contraceptives, we’re morally superior’to you now, don’t you know? we’re saving the planet!

the one thing i’ve prayed for and known I’d have from God saving me , is a sound mind, a mind that can see clearly what is going on around me and know wht’s right from what isn’t. today we’ve fallen so far from just a short time ago, it aparently does take a rocket scientist to know what even secular common sense agreed with God’s word, only 60 years ago.

"gay parents are better in part b/c no kids"

Wait, gay parents don't have kids? Why are they called parents then?

You are living in a fucking alternate reality. Seriously, get help.

Usually when you start viewing the world as people that can't see the 'obvious truth', considering yourself the only 'awake' one, it's because you're off your nut; not because everyone else is.

Er...Agent... I was around both fifty and sixty years ago, and I'm still around. It wasn't the way you think then, and it isn't the way you think now.

Just who are these 'secular experts' who are vegetarian, bestial paedophiles?

And just as importantly, would it kill you to start a sentence with a capital letter?

I'm under fifty and access to birth control for the prevention of pregnancy didn't happen until several years after my birth. So how were these people supposed to get birth control? Abortion wasn't legal until several years after birth control was made available. So how were you supposed to get one that didn't involve a folding table and a dirty knife? And if you think kids weren't fucking around, smoking pot and dirnking 50-60 years ago, you're deluded. If you think all parents were always happily married and families had no dysfunction, you're even more deluded.

I also hear that 50-60 years ago people actually tried to understand their opponents political position instead of creating massive strawmen to make them seem like the devil. Aw, who am I kidding? Conservatives have always been this awful.

-60 years ago I wouldnt be alowed to date a white girl.
-60 years ago I wouldnt be alowed to walk down a street with 2 or more freinds.
-60 years ago my brother's wife was not alowed to go to school, or ride a bus.
-60 years ago my girlfreind would have been forced to stay with her abusive husband

Funny how the Golden Age always seems to be about one generation ago. Now why would that be?

"Leave It To Beaver" was not a documentary & being Progressive doesn't make you a zoophiliac....that's Neal Horsley & Carl Paladino's territory and they're on YOUR TEAM!

@D Laurier
The OP probably sees those examples as "good things".

factual relativism and conservative pretzel logic.

50-60 years ago was when out of wedlock pregnancies hit their peak. Since then liberal values and birth control have been driving that number down.

Only an unsound mind can believe backwards things.

we expect the rest of you to pay for our abortions and contraceptives

Conservatives really can't stand the idea of other people benefiting from the tax dollars they pay, can they? Not to mention the fact that Congress passed a law barring any tax dollars at all going to pay for abortions.

And I'm not going to bother to repeat that the conservative 1950's utopia never really existed. It's like talking to a brick wall.

I'm a liberal. I love bacon, I don't think gay parents are better (I think they should be treated equally, of course by fundie logic being treated equal means you're being persecuted), I don't think dads aren't needed (but I also don't think single parents are horrible), I want kids, and I don't like abortion (but realize that's it's necessary). I do agree that we should save the planet though. You should too. After all, God commanded you to be a good steward over the Earth and even if he didn't it's common sense to think that God might not like you trashing the planet he supposedly built for you.

Well, I don't want any kids and I don't eat or kill animals. But I have to say that, as of yet, I haven't screwed any of them. And I must be a pretty poor environmentalist because I haven't even aborted any of dem babies, either.

And, really, 60 years ago you just waltzed out and purchased birth control wherever? People were especially cool with women having access to bc, I bet. Really, what 60 years ago are you talking about, exactly?

Oh, you think our country was better off fifty to sixty years ago?

Why don't you tell that black family how much better segregation was, those little children over there how much better it was to be worried of bombing from Cuba, and everyone else how much better is to be slandered without proof a la McCarthyism.

60 years ago teen pregnancies were the highest they have been in the past 70 years. By comparison, the decade of 2001-2010 saw the lowest rate of teen pregnancies in the past 70 years. The "good ole days" of the 1950s also saw almost twice as many school shootings as the 2000's decade (19 in the 1950s and 10 in the 2000s).

I'd say our society is getting much more moral and stable as we get farther away from your god.

11/27/2012 9:01:49 AM

Blarghonius

News flash: Those "good old days" didn't really exist. And neither is the evidence for any of your retarded views.

11/27/2012 9:06:00 AM

Apparently you think that 50-60 years ago lying was all good, too, since that's what you just did.

Nobody's asking for or getting birth control or abortions for free. Birth conrol will now be covered by health insurance, like other necessary medications, but that's not "for free". any more than your high blood pressure or diabetes medications covered by insurance are.

And yes, people who advocate saving the planet, equal rights for all, and keeping women in control of their own bodies ARE morally superior to you. They're also in the majority.
