moral relativism and liberal pretzel logic.

only 50-60 years ago, nuclear family great, kids were a normal outcome of sex, perverts were jailed, animals were pets or on your plate by God’s grace. if you wanted to fool around you paid for your own birth control b/c it was your responsibility for exercising that liberty. and this wasn’t consider just christian thinking, it was inherent common sense for most people across all demographics.

since then the secular experts have abandoned God, and are’going it alone. and the best they come up with is gay parents are better in part b/c no kids, dads aren’t needed anymore, whatever you do if you care about the earth and the rest of us, don’t have kids, and don’t eat animals, but you can screw them. save the planet, abort your baby is their battle cry. and we expect the rest of you to pay for our abortions and contraceptives, we’re morally superior’to you now, don’t you know? we’re saving the planet!

the one thing i’ve prayed for and known I’d have from God saving me , is a sound mind, a mind that can see clearly what is going on around me and know wht’s right from what isn’t. today we’ve fallen so far from just a short time ago, it aparently does take a rocket scientist to know what even secular common sense agreed with God’s word, only 60 years ago.

Nuclear families are not the norm, they are a product of the 20th century. Strike one.

If gay parents have no kids, how can they be parents? Stike two.

Nobody considers screwing animals to be normal or desirable. Strike three.

Only fundies would think saving the planet is a crime. Strike four.

60 years ago, "secular common sense" was based on your god's word, that's why they agreed. Today we are (finally) moving ahead. Strike five.

Wait, have I made my point?

I feel bored enough to pick this apart:

1. Starting off strong with a Golden Age Fallacy.

2. Nobody has said gay parents are better, research points to the obvious fact that gay parents are the same.

3. You must have a vegetarian in your family that seriously pissed you off. Why do you care if someone doesn't eat meat? More meat for you right?

4. "Hurr durr I swallow all the crap Fox News tells me about paying for contraceptives." Is it even worth it at this point to mention some women need birth control pills for hormone problems and other disorders and can't get them because they're not covered by their insurance? Probably not, I don't think your intellect can handle the idea that a drug might have more than one use.

Also what do you think happens to the babies that aren't prevented or aborted? You'll spend a lot more tax dollars on them from birth to age 18 than you will paying for the penniless parent to have an abortion. That's okay because I'm sure you hate welfare moms too even though you're responsible for creating more of them.

5. Keep praying for that golden age that never existed.

"the one thing i’ve prayed for and known I’d have from God saving me , is a sound mind, a mind that can see clearly what is going on around me and know wht’s right from what isn’t."

And God's answer was "no."

"nuclear family"

Once the Joint European Torus Project here in the UK has perfected it's process, Nuclear will be superceded by Fusion. Hell, the way things are going at CERN - especially how they've found the Higgs-Boson - who knows? We could see even the Fusion Family made obsolete by the Antimatter Family. [/smartarse]

Times change. Technologies change. Attitudes must change. Otherwise, go live in a cave, wear animal skins, and eat raw meat (no fire allowed, naughty! That was a technological innovation) As your thinking is based on nothing more than the drug-fuelled ramblings of a bunch of Bronze Age goatfuckers with ideas above their station. And has as much relevance to 1012, never mind 2012.

'the one thing i’ve prayed for and known I’d have from God saving me , is a sound mind, a mind that can see clearly what is going on around me and know wht’s right from what isn’t. today we’ve fallen so far from just a short time ago, it aparently does take a rocket scientist to know what even secular common sense agreed with God’s word, only 60 years ago' eh, Secret Agent Man...?:

Just playing on the words 'Nuclear Family', and how attitudes - like new energies & technologies - change. The Fire Family. Oil Lamp Family. Candle Family. Coal Family. Gas Family. Electric Family. Nuclear Family. Fusion Family. Antimatter Family.

Y'get my drift...!

Also, sixty years ago, we got conservation magazines and literature from Orphans of the Storm, animals had a good deal more freedom to run around than they do today, "conservatives" did not have it in for animals, and your animal-abusing paradise did not exist in my lifetime.

Nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, and anti-matter reactions are all nuclear reactions because they involve the destruction of mass.

I was born 43 years ago, not 50 but close enough, and there where condoms then too, and other methods to not becoming pregnant from sex. The pill existed about ten years before I was born, for example. Perverts, as in people who harm other people, or infringe on other people's privacy were indeed jailed, as they are now. Most animals lived in the wild then, as they do now, and why shouldn't they have the same right as we do to be treated with dignity? All types of medication and medical treatments were covered by our general health-care then, as they are now. If anything, fewer things are covered now than before. Christian thinking wasn't that big in Sweden then, but still a bit more common than today. Common sense ruled most of society though, the common sense that we are all equal, and we all get sick, so we should all get the treatment we need, not the one we can afford.

Secular experts OUGHT to abandon God, stupid, that's what secular means. Gay parents are neither better nor worse than straight parents; that's the whole point. Dads are very much needed nowadays too, but they don't have unlimited power in the home, and children have rights of their own, which should be considered in all aspects that concerns the kids. Before bringing kids into the world, you ought to consider whether you can take care of them or not, whether you are having a baby to play with or a human being to experience things with, whether it's for the kid's sake as much as your sake. Like I said before, animals have just as much right as we do to be treated with dignity. Screwing them would violate that right, asshole. An abortion is a medical procedure, and is covered by the same purse as appendectomies and removals of tapeworms and other parasites.

Harming others and infringing on their privacy and rights is wrong, minding your own business and trying to make the world a little bit better is right. I'm curious; what did secular common sense agree with God's word sixty years ago? For that matter, what did God's word agree with God's word?

Sunday Monday Happy Days!
Tuesday Wednesday Leaded Gas
Thursday Friday PCBs
Saturday!
Asbestos dust!
Poisoning kids for cash!

These days nobody gives a fuck!
Happy and Free!
We're all pretending they don't suck
Take it from me
There's bright blue skies and green green grass
As long as your head stays up your ass!
No burning crosses on the lawn
No Korean conflict in this song!

This bullshit dream is yours and mine
For just as long as we stay blind
Hap-py Days!

"and the best they come up with is gay parents are better in part b/c no kids"

Not sure if you mean that we think that gays are better parents or that gays are good because they don't reproduce, but, well... People -no matter their sexual orientation- refraining from overpopulating the planet is a good thing, and while being gay doesn't automatically make one a more competent parent, for an homosexual the chances of ending up with an unplanned/unwanted kid are practically nil (unless one is so deeply closeted that even his/her beard isn't on the secret, of course)

@Anon-e-moose:

Well, technically stealing other animals' pelts for warmth and protection is also a technological innovation, but I think that we can all agree that we'd prefer not to see fundies naked. [/shudder]

Okay, I've seen this part mentioned in the comments a few times, and I'd like to point out that I am PRETTY sure what he actually meant to say was (with better grammar):

The best they come up with is gay parents are better because, "No, kids, dads aren't needed anymore"

Not that gay parents are better because they have no kids. That's too much of a nonsensical statement even in this context. Plus, everything else seems to be in two parts with a comma in the middle ("if you care about the earth, don't have kids," "don't eat animals, but you can screw them," "save the planet, abort your baby") so it makes sense that that one would be as well.
