The right to die will quickly become a duty to die, and then an obligation to die. Especially when put into the hands of insurance lawyers who will take every case to court until they get what they want, which is an unlimited, unrestricted obligation to kill anyone who is sick beyond a cold. Do you imagine for one instant that this whole right to die argument isn't driven by someone with a financial interest in not paying for expensive medical care

Boy, I don't like lawyers much but even I wouldn't say that. We're definitely in tinfoil hat territory here.
"The right to practice religion will quickly become a duty to practice religion, and then an obligation to practice religion. We must outlaw all religion now!"
And now, dear Fundie, please see why the slippery slope argument is totally fallacious.
Sometimes, I like to visualize some context for the quotes. For this one, I see a mountain with one slope covered completely in grease, and Kathy29 is standing there giving this very rant, pointing at the top of the mountain, all the while trying to hide a grease-covered paintbrush and bucket.
quote from an idiot "I also hope that the next Senate elections can restore some balance in the US."
Republicans will probally gain a few seats. Thanx to the comments by ray nagin, hillary clinton, paul hackett, john kerry, the alito filbuster threats and the red state dems voting against alito.
You fucking Liberals are gonna lose badly. All of You Liberals are completly out of touch with mainstream america as this was shown in 2004 elections And will continue until the Radical Left is dead in its tracks.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but was not the recent US election the closest in history, voter wise?
Also, I fail to understand the hate for Hillary Clinton. The only positions I have ever heard attributed to her are a desire to restrict video game purchases (aren't they already restricted by age and rating? I know they are in Australia) and a refusal to vote against intelligent design (IIRC, source being either The 2% Company or Unscrewing the Inscrutable).

No, 2000 was.

oh wait, you would consider that a good thing

Yeah, government interference is only bad when it's the government pushing someone's else's agenda[*] on them, not when they want it to push their agenda on someone else!
[* I.e. equal rights, proper education, separation of church and state, freedom of speech, progressive taxation, universal healthcare, etc.]
Confused?
