"Q: Why do we have those crosses if Jesus never existed?"
A: Because you're too much of a dumb cunt 'hoemskuled' fundie to know that crucifixion was a common method of execution in the Roman Empire before your so-called 'Jesus' existed (if he even existed, that is).
Why do we have doughnuts if the Large Hadron Collider & the tokamak Fusion Reactor here in the UK never existed? Just as releveant - as Krispy Kreme's product is the same shape as the devices in CERN in Geneva & the Joint European Torus Project respectively - to your non-sequitur, Xavier.
Why do we have deerstalkers if Sherlock Holmes never existed?
Why do we have crowbars if Gordon Freeman never existed?
Why do we have martinis if James Bond never existed?
Fun fact: When missionaries arrived in North America, they found one native tribe whose emblem looked exactly like a crucifix. Originally believing that their work had already been done, they wound up being very surprised to discover that it was all a complete coincidence.
Ok, let me try and follow this fundie logic.

This is only possible because Jesus existed and Jesus existed because this is possible.
Did I get it right?
Oh, God. I know better, but I feel compelled to say this anyway: The vast majority of atheists do not believe that Jesus never existed, they just believe that he was a normal human being.
The cross is an ancient symbol, its original meaning lost in the vast times of history and pre-history. One ancient use for the cross was to ward off and bind VAMPIRES.
As proof I offer the FACT that vampire attacks in a church marked by the cross are very very rare.
@ checkmate, good work , you have a picture of a crossroads demon.
hot cross buns only exist because Jesus.
I don't know. Why do we have crosses if Jesus never existed?
This is really belly-aching funny. Thank you, Xavier.

Doesn't surprise me but yes is a fun fact. The Mormons would have a explanation though, Indians being the lost tribes of Isreal andall.
The Gaelic cross had nothing to do with Jesus or a savior either. The cross also is signifigant in astrology and seasonal equinoxs.
The reason you have a cross that represents Jesus? Churchs, you know, those overbuilt business' you see with crosses, spires, stained glass windows and long benchs. Big business, huge cash cow when you aquire enough members.
"For the same reason Vikings had the hammer of Thor..............I guess."
The Hammer of Thor is a symbol of power, the cross is the symbol of a blood sacrifice.
You'll find the Hammer used as a symbol mostly in group-union logos.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
