like how can you truly know what is in a star without having an actual one close enough to examine it, oh wait ANOTHER EDUCATED GUESS!!!!

Well, I'm not a Scientist, but I can imagine that they can take readings of various radiation types, judge by distance, magnitude and such to know what a star is... Yes that's an educated guess, but it's a hell of a lot better than just making some nonsense up.
Obviously, "wicked, prideful, and self righteouss [sic]" are typos, meant to come out as "clever, scientific, and evidence-based."
Seriously, this guy needs deprogramming on a grand scale. I am forever amazed at how threatened by science religious people can be. You'd think that the discipline of astronomy would be one of their favorites, seeing as how it explores (in their view) the wonders of God's creation. Instead, it's as if their tiny minds just shrink in horror from thoughts of the infinite and go put themselves into the nearest cerebral straitjacket.
Frankly, it's just sad (as well as, in this instance, offensively expressed).

Yup, to bad we don't have a star anywhere close by we can study. You know, something like the sun. Wonder how many of these fundy asswipes even know what a paradigm is, let alone that the "science paradigms" campaign is primarily a non-science community belief.

All i know is I don't like unprovable theories and ungrounded explanations so like my wife said....you keep your paradigm (which is obviously wicked, prideful, and self righteouss) and we'll keep ours.
<<ANOTHER EDUCATED GUESS!!!!>>
Rather the opposite of natural mystic's position.
Wait. You don't like THEORIES? Oh, for Eris' sake, is there no depth to which wilful ignorance will not descend? It oughta be a sin.
Well, darn.

It'd be hard to use that against someone who claims to have "spoken" with God or has a "personal relationship" (which I think has to do with breaking their back or something) with him. But yeah, logic wouldn't work against these idiots anyways.
@#1469915:
Close to the Sun, yes. To the Sun, no.
But that's what photons, neutrinos, and the solar wind are for.
Confused?
