I have in my pocket a very small computer, I can use it to access the greatest communication network and accumulation of knowledge in the history of mankind; it can take pictures and videos, which I can send to single persons and to the aforementioned network without any trouble; I can download any thinkable kind of program onto this computer, I can use it as a freaking remote control for my desktop PC or TV, I can store and read literally thousands of books on it, I can use it to watch videos and listen to music wherever I want; it helps me navigate on the streets with the help of a whole bunch of satellites in orbit around the Earth; I can even use it to make phone calls! And it is not bigger than a pack of cigarettes.
My desktop PC is capable of creating almost lifelike virtual realities, with which I can interact, with realistic physics and if I want to even in 3D.
I can communicate with people all around the globe in real time. If I want to and have the funds for it I can travel to almost any place on Earth. (If not, I can at least look at high definition aerial photographs of them.) Hell, if I wanted to and have the funds for it I could travel to space!
If I look up into the night sky I can sometimes see the lights of a space station maintained not by one single nation, but by a alliance of formerly enemy nations working together in peace.
While I am typing this, a machine is cleaning my dirty clothes, another one my dirty dishes and a robot is vacuuming my living room.
As far as I am concerned, I am living in the future.

The case being described is actually appalling, although the conclusions they draw from it are pretty ridiculous. A young white woman who was pretty clearly psychotic in an airport was arrested and, despite confirmation from her parents that she had bipolar disorder and a departmental policy requiring that anyone arrested who is seriously mentally ill be taken to a hospital for evaluation, was instead taken to a district office in a terrible part of Chicago. Officers there replied to her ravings and panicked screams for help by repeatedly telling her to "shut up," and ultimately released her (despite her parents repeated pleas that she either be sent to a hospital or put on a plane to the city they lived in) onto the street, in an overwhelmingly black and extremely high-crime neighborhood, in a skimpy jogging suit. She then wandered around in a state of confusion and a gang leader ultimately raped her, following which he threw her, she fell, or she jumped (it's not clear) out of a 7th story window, resulting in several physical injuries and brain damage.

Well, the problem is, for every "true believer" racist, there's probably at least three people who "don't hate black people, they just don't want to get mugged/raped by gangbangers."
They might not feel that blacks are inferior based on race, but they feel that society is "too permissive" of "inner city" stuff like rap and treating gangs as anything less than unforgivably evil.
So they end up feeling threatened by any black person who seems even the least "ghetto."
How do you get through to such misled people? It's important, because they seem to be prime recruiting by the "true believer" racists.

That's the first thing I noticed -- well that and how odd it is for someone to accuse the Police of oppressing white people and letting black people do what they want, or of letting gang-bangers join the Police force. I've literally never heard anyone say that, because even most WNs aren't that delusional.

So in this particular case, (some specific) police officers were racially oppressing a (specific) white person and abandoning her to the mercy of black thugs, with horrifying results. That said, this particular case is rather atypical, contrary to what the crew at SBPDL would have you believe.

How strange. Even if every last welfare recipient was a black person, that would only be 0.7% of government expenditures. Even if every single dollar of non-single-payer social safety net spending, which benefits all income categories with things like tax deductions, even if that only went to black people, it would amount to no more than 10% of the budget. If every single prison inmate was black, that would account for between 5-25 percent of state and local budgets, not counting federal prison and criminal justice systems.
If the difference between living at our current technological and having an interplanetary empire in the World Of Tomorrow is only 10%, then damn, why don't we carve a little out of the military's whopping 58% share?

Most of the time when I hear people mouth off about the police like they're the KGB spying on everyone or the Mafia out to shake everyone down I roll my eyes and wonder whether the typically shifty loudmouthed assholes making the claim steal cable, shoplift, or carry assorted narcotics.
