Quote# 9239

ID is testable, it is falsifiable, and it does make predictions. On the other hand, as I noted...evolution seems to fail on all three counts, though.

You seem to have missed that blue-light special where they had kick-ass deals on logic and reason.

Attention K-Mart shoppers: there is a special on shitty trolls in aisle 3.

Just because you say it, doesn't make it true.

oh wait...

Surely he means:
[ludicrous] predictions.

ID has put forth no test. In fact, the only \"prediction\" it has made is a test for evolution: that there are systems of irreducible complexity. By the admission of the founder of modern ID, ID puts forth no other ideas that could even be remotely considered testable.

And also of note, the only examples of \"irreducibly complex\" systems provided have been shown to be reducible in nature.

I hope he meant it to be the other way round...

Come on, people, there's no way this deserves a 1 rating, which is how I found it before my vote!

Yes, this guy has got things completely backwards. \"Ministry of Truth\" Award?

Doubtless when he's not busy claiming evolution is unfalsifiable, he's busy claiming it has been falsified by irreducible complexity.

You took bad notes.

Darwin's Lil' Girl

It's obvious this guy made a common mistake. He wrote "ID" when he supposed to write "evolution". That's all it is...one would hope.

HOW is ID Testable where ToE is not...even by microevolutions, it's still DISPROVING ID's perfect and unchanging stance of things!

What predictions does ID make?

Evolutionary theory + continental drift brought us Tiktaalik. Does ID have any results to show like that?

"ID is testable"

What little bit of it might very well be testable. And it's failed.

"it is falsifiable"

Oh my yes. It's nothing but falsehoods. One right after the other.

"and it does make predictions"

Like? Goddidit isn't a prediction.

"On the other hand, as I noted...evolution seems to fail on all three counts, though"

Then pick up a fucking biology book once in a while and read it.

>>On the other hand, as I noted...evolution seems to fail on all three counts, though.<<

I experienced a resistant staph infection once. Your Argument Is Invalid.

1/9/2012 12:51:12 AM

You're right: there is no designer. ID is hereby falsified.
